FREAKENSTEIN
I'm having difficulty downloading a few different mods. The pop up box appears and when I select a download server IE cant find the web page. I have no issues if I can downloed with NMM, or if the pop up starts the download automatically. I've checked all my IE, Anti-virus etc etc and everything is fine. I posted to one of the mod creators and he checked his download and everything worked fine. I've been trying to straighten thisd issue out for a week now and am in Hair puuling stage atm. Any feedback or suggestions would be welcome!!! FREAKENSTEIN
BUMP!!!! Been fooling around today with nexus downloads, and I believe I've found the cause. I downloaded http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=6032#content the pop-up window comes up, I selected one of the non-premium servers and got the download no problem. I tried to redownload the same exact mod immediatley using the premium server and SPLAT!!!! (This error (HTTP 404 Not Found) means that Internet Explorer was able to connect to the website, but the page you wanted was not found. It's possible that the webpage is temporarily unavailable. Alternatively, the website might have changed or removed the webpage.) I return to the downloads page and open up the pop-up again and now all of the download links will not work. Last week I signed up for Premium membership, before I bought premium membership I never had this problem. I would click on the premium server get the same exact error but when I closed the pop-up and redownloaded with normal servers it worked. I'm getting denied on the premium server and it now denies me access to all servers. Could you please fix my premium member status so I can use ALL the servers. Dark0ne
It really sounds like you've got a DNS issue some where which is making the premium server unavailable to you. The US premium file server is located at http://s1.nexusmods.com/ -- if you go there you should see text saying "Fileserver S1"The UK premium file server is located at http://files.skyrim.nexusmods.com/ -- if you go there you should get a blank white page with the title "Untitled Document" If either of those outcomes are different to you, then something is wrong with the DNS setup, either with us, or at your ISP. First link took me to correct page, the second link took me to the premium membership area to signup. What can I do on my part to check my dns? Dark0ne
If it took you to the Premium area then your DNS is right, it's just not recognising your login. Have you tried logging out of Skyrim Nexus (not the forums, Skyrim Nexus!) and logging back in again, and then trying again?
FREAKENSTEIN
Yea, that did the trick, my bad I tried relogging but from the forums before. I assumed they were all tied together on my account. Thanks for your patience and help with this. Really appreciate your quick responses :)
