Chaurus, Falmer and Reikling - oh my!

So I have an awesome build going and am nearing level 30... have heavy armor specialty with gear around 100 rating. Can hold my own with groups of bandits, dragons, bears, big cats, vamps, etc. But chaurus, and falmer using poisoned weapons, and riekling spears pretty much insta-kill me. i mean some bug spits poison on my and I'm dead before I can mash my poison potion hotkey. This has been pretty consistent from vanilla skyrim to now - anyone else? Are there mods that help? Onjly playing on third difficulty level - wacky that I can kick a giant's ass but a freaking bug can kill me with no problem...

maybe you can share details of your build? most people find it easier to play a sneaky character at lower levels. giants are generally manageable because they are slow and there aren't any levelled versions unlike other monsters.

Well, I'm a level 30 warrior specializing in sword and shield with limited magic and only the force shout . I have excellent armor and weapons for my level. It's not really a matter of being stealthy I don't think - just poison being horribly OP and the reikling spears have always done terrible damage - even with vanilla skyrim and you can't really sneak up on them. I can handle just about all other enemies in the game I'm encountering - except maybe the odd high level vampire or two - but anything with poison or poison laced weapons simply obliterates me. And I've not added any mods - that I am aware of - that affect poison.

How about adding poison resistance to your gear? Think general vendors and the Solitude jewellers do sell the occasional resist poison necklace. Or you can find them in general loot around dungeons and whatnot.
