KenBone22
I'd like to see a mod that allows you to have actual conversations with your settlers.
montky
@KenBoneTwo-Twoindeed, there are a few projects in the offing about just that.in no particular order:- NPC settler overhaul <--- this will include 'banter options'. a humorous variant has "Wastelander-ish", in homage to "simlish" or interlingua etc...wastelanders say gibberish syllables and sounds, with only the protagonist speaking in a recognizable language... it's a little like "Charlie Brown" hehe.-* AGI "Talking Heads" <---- this will coincide with the Karma System Overhaul project, and will make inputable text-strings possible. Past Fallout games had inputable strings or pre-optioned versions. the inputable string is matched to the matching routine for each instance, and can be dynamically made interoperable with the FORPG MasterAGI "Games Master" mod.- Better Regionalizations mod <---- several teams are working on making languages other than English more prominent in FO4.a great example is "Iron Iron-Chef Takahashi" and different Automatron voiceovers. so, it would be awesome to see which of these pans out.I'm optimistic these'll be interoperable with a lot of other modsI think we'll need to see a rigorous NPC system overhaul and more standards and certainty there, before we see folks comitting fully to something as ambitious as the AGI "Talking Heads" approach. yet, when you combine all of that, with stuff like "embeddable live-stream audio nodes" and real-time mo-cap options,it may very soon be possible to "live performance" mod in FO4 or similar games.that, combined with a more legitimate 2ndLife or DevArt framework and stance to modders, could see a lot of folks incentivized to make more quality stuff.it's all about customization and 'emotional investment in verisimilitude" hehe. H4RDC0R3V1B3Z
I just want them to interact with one another, as the Quincy group does. Even a short "Hello" as they pass in the hallways would be amazing.
