Placed Cliffs/other objects not visible ingame

My problem is i modded some landscape of tamriel/skyrim gave it some cliffs, some walls, items and a dragon to test it. So i walked there ingame and some of the cliffs and walls were missing, when i walked near them they reapeared, when i walked some more closer they disapeared again and i could walk right through them like they never existed. okay so i reloaded the mod in the skyrim launcher, restarted the game, now the cliffs are still invisible ingame but they block the path so they are still "there", and the dragon i placed and the stone he sits on only appear when im very close to them unlike other/vanilla creatures or world objects. Tried the "is in LOD" option in the preference window of the cliffs, didnt work. So all in all the cliffs and some of the walls i added most of the time dont show up when i walk to my modded location from another location thats near to it (the dragon and his stone only show up when im relative close to them). When i fast travel directly to the mapmarker of my mod location, cliffs and stuff load as they should but only in a certain radius around the playercharacter, cliffs and walls beyond this range are still missing (most of them are invisble--> still block path, a few are completly missing). Checked mod in Creation kit again... objects are still there as intended. Any clues? Seems to me like its not really "loading" my mod objects into the skyrim world when im loading a game... btw i dont use any other mods right now... i did an armor mod befor with new armor models and it worked well...

I'm having this same exact problem as well. If I set the offending props to Full LOD they will render but that isn't a desired fix as they will always be full detail now. My guess is that the World LOD needs to recalculated. As to the correct way to perform this I am not quite sure. I'm also concerned that trying to update the Tamriel world LOD to include your new objects will recalculate the LOD for your mod, but might conflict with any others that have to do this as well? I could be wrong I'm just not familiar with performing the LOD calculations.

It's very strange. I have the same problem. I created a village and all the cliffs just disappear when I first travel, but when I go into an house and back its all fine again.

How can I fix this problem?

Sorry for another noobish question as I am very new to the CK - but I remember some of this in the Video Tutorial. They said something of Room settings and items only appear if you are in the set room (a blue cube marker in CK). If you want to see different things from other "rooms" you need to combine em with portals...

Maybe this is a helpful hint to find a solution for you, good luck.

As far as I know "rooms" are only for interior cells. They would not be useful in an open landscape.

Well...even if this is indeed an interior thingy, you have done some good thinking and your question/answer aint noobish at all.

If more ppl would reply like you do, a lot more things would have been solved already, so thanks mate and keep it up

I think i got it... in exterior cells like Tamriel world space u need to create/update the World LOD... look at this link http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=13676 its for fallout 3 tho, but it shows some pics of World LOD generation and the user uploaded pics show big static buildings that appear from far away just as they should. Tho havent found some informations about Skyrims WOlrd LOD creation, but i will try this out and give feedback the next days if it worked or not.

Edit: found some more infos on skyrim lod creation: http://hoddminir.blogspot.com/2012/02/generating-lods-in-creation-kit.html
