Guards/Companions Randomly Attacking Each Other/me?

Which mod is causing this? I sorted my load order in BOSS, created a Bashed Patch in Wrye Bash but every once in a while guard attack each other when they get into a battle with a enemy or enemies. I can't help but feel there is a friendly fire mode turned on in one of the mods options but I don't know where they are.

 

As for companions; I am playing as a mage and conjure creatures often however when one of my companions hit my summon, he immediately goes after me to try to kill me even though I didn't hit him ONCE.

You can try the relevant console command (SetIgnoreFriendlyHits 1) but I'm not sure that's causing your problem. What's your current Personality? If the number is too low you'll have these issues.

 

 

That might explain the companion issues, but not the guard behavior.

 

I may have overstated "random". For instance there is a fight where I run back to the city gates for the guards to help me fight bandits/creatures and one of the guards accidentally hit me and then start attacking ME instead of the bandits/creatures.

 

How should I check whether Vanilla Combat Enchanced is conflicting or not? Thanks.

 

I also suspect Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul but I'm not so sure.

Open with TES4Edit and check if they change the factions and/or the game settings.

Open with the CS if it's the case to verify which way they change these.

To cancel the changes delete the modified setting using TES4Edit.

I found no mention of factions in Vanilla Combat Enchanced. The issue still persists however especially when bringing in companions to dungeons.

 

Speaking of TES4edit, will cleaning dirty edits in both official DLCs and mods help?
