I got a suggestion for a mod as you can tell it has to do with the crimson scar. That's right you take on the family business. Now I don't know how to make a mod but i can help with ideas if any wants to make this mod.
I like the way you're thinking I all ways wished they'd the Crimson Scar a guild. I would do it but i'm not sure how to make a mod.

Hey, who know you both aren't the future ace modders? making mods is really a easy thing if did with method and correct goal.

first and more important thing: modularity, both in the learning and in the making.

take a step after step. Will do no good to begin thinking a big overhaul. Why do this if we can begin with a much more easy thing and we will be seeing the result working as we intended it to do?

Among the most easier and quicker things we can do in modding are items. At this point is not need to think about meshes, textures and other complications (later maybe).

Open Cs, mark Oblivion.ESM but don't mark anything as active file (be sure of this)

So we are wishing to make a ring that would give the wielder a boost of 10 point to luck (yes, most players think luck as the most unworth attribute over there, and they are wrong)

Now we want be certain the ring we are making is unique, and we will messing with nothing more. And we will use one of the already existent model. We will search the object window on CS -> clothing -> rings, there we will chose one, preferably one that is not already 'special', a ring with common name is a good start point, certify it have no enchantments or scripts attached. Once choose we will open it to edit (right mouse click or just 2 left button mouse clicks will do the trick).

Now the properties of the ring we choose will be there, and we will change the ID of it. This is the most important step at this point, and must be the first one, ever and ever. And we will be putting our mark in this ID, our name initials? the important thing here is that will be easy to identify our item (some people use to prefix with A as first letter or even number as our 'objects' will show first in the lists). For now we will just prefix the former ID with our 'trademark'. Now we will personalize the name the ring will show up in game, I think Elimae's Lucky Ring is a good choice (maybe prophetic). Click Ok and a popup will say the ID was changed and ask if you will want to create a new form, be sure to do it!!! we don't want change the former one.

Now we will save our first prototype mod. Just click save and will be prompt to enter a name for the ESP. Give the choose name and voilà we have a MOD (not much a great mod... YET)

now we just need to create the enchantment for the ring... and begin to think in the quest for Elimae's Lucky.

I can't really continue from this point in this thread. But the procedure to create an enchantment is very similar to creating an object. If you ever attempt to do this and think you need help at some point feel free to PM or just post a topic with the doubt.

cheers
