FlyIgnite
To be honest i have no idea what is going on. Just got a new mobo and cpu in (I really dont think they are the problem) and the first thing i decide to do is go and install Fallout 4. It begins to download for a while, then the internet disconnects and my wireless adapter shuts off. The only way to fix it is to restart my computer completely and i have to unplug the adapter and switch usb ports. Is this a virus or something, what is going on? HeyYou
Are you doing anything else while it's downloading? If the machine is just sitting there, its entirely possible that the O/S powers off the Wireless adapter as part of its "power saving" options. hoofhearted4
HeyYou has a good point. Check your Bios to see if there are any settings to shut your WiFi off or any sleep or power save settings in general.
