Tried downloading chameleon effect replacement. Uninstalled. Now my Pip Boy looks like this:

So I tried out the "Chameleon Transparency Removal" mod and liked it even less than the original chameleon effect (I'm just going to stop using chameleon; f that noise) so I uninstalled it. Now my Pip Boy looks like this. I tried downloading a custom Pip Boy background to see if that would fix it, but no suck luck. Any help?

EDIT: I re-equipped the chameleon piece to see what would happen and now my character is permanently invisible...

If you've just uninstalled a mod and continued playing, you can and will often break your game.

 

Always practice safe modding. Make a hard save prior to installed any and all mods, test it for a little while (i.e. don't play properly or do anything you aren't willing to lose). Then if it all works as intended, continue to play. If you don't like it, quit the game (I personally Alt-F4 out, as I've been having load-hanging issues when going back to the main menu) and load the save you made before installing the mod.

Yeah, I did that. Didn't help loading to an earlier time.

Have you verified files? Perhaps it is just a missing texture. Or you could even DL one of the many pip boy replacers out there. That would force in a new texture.
