Xbox One To My Monitor

Recommended Posts

I am planning on getting an VGA adapter for my xbox one to connect to my pc monitor and I am wondering if connecting it to a monitor will increase performance if I do.?

Nope. It might 'look' better, as you would be running perhaps the same resolution on a smaller screen.... but, it won't change performance a bit.

as the above poster said, the monitor doesn't have any effect on performance. your monitor is simply what your system is outputting to. if your monitor can only do 60fps @1080p, then that is the most you will see. if your system can output better than that, it won't matter, and if it can't you won't get that. now a monitor might look better than your TV, depending on what you have for a TV. if you only have a 720p TV and your monitor is 1080p, then it will certainly look better. and I've hooked my PS4 up to my monitor and I enjoy playing on it. so what it will really come down to is a preference, but not performance.
