CTD when exiting Alternate Start dungeon

I'm experiencing immediate CTD when loading the exterior from the dungeon start of Alternate Start (or immediately after exiting the sewers, or when entering/exiting the world map would still crash the game).

Selecting the vanilla carriage intro from the Alternate Start statue would work if I deactivated the Immersive Armor mod, otherwise it would crash after a few lines of dialogue.

In Mod Organizer I first run TES5Edit (select all plugins, create merged list, delete leveled list, save as merged patch), then I run DSR Patch (but I don't activate it until after creating the bashed patch), create my bashed patch with Wrye Bash (follow all suggestions, activate all includes and the leveled list, deactivate the merged option), activate tes5merged, DSR Patch and Bashed Patch.

I set the Vsync to "Use the 3D application setting" and the FPS limiter to "[~]59.7fps" in NVIDIA Profile Inspector.

I set the speakers and headphones to "24 bit, 48000 Hz".

The attachment is a picture of the autosave just out of the dungeon, following is my load order BEFORE creating a merged list, a bashed patch and running the external patches:

one thing i can see right away is that elfx weathers and supreme fog aren't compatible with vivid weathers. i don't see the point in enabling both vsync and the frame limiter. i wouldn't use an automatically generated merged patch, more than anything. if you ask me that's like asking for your game to crash.

I removed the conflicting weather mods (now I have Vivid Weathers, no Supreme Fog and no Enhanced Weather FX), but the problem is still there: as soon as I open the world map Skyrim crashes to desktop.

Do you mean the TES5Edit merged patch? What should I do instead?

well an automated script that merges records from 100 plugins is probably going to screw something up. loot and automated patches are easy, so they're good for slapping a few mods on, but once you get into that many you're looking at a fairly time-consuming process if you want to be sure not to ctd. first i'd recommend carefully setting up enboost, crash fixes, and project optimization. there are some special instructions so the descriptions are fairly important, but it'll make things more stable to begin with. if you still crash after that, you may have to look through the plugins and do some manual sorting. at the very least if you still want a merged patch i'd look and make sure it's not merging anything it shouldn't.

sorry, but i already typed this a little bit ago so i'm gonna' copy and paste it for ya'. it's just a way for you to pinpoint any problems you have in case nobody else can tell you, like one of those "teach a man to fish" type of responses. i'll try to answer any questions if i can though.

open up tes5edit, and load up all of your plugins. once that's done, in the list of plugins over to the left, right-click in the empty space and select "apply filter". the default selections should work, but in the upper-hand left under "by conflict status overall" uncheck the first and fourth boxes that say "single record" and "override without conflict" so you don't have to wade through them. all the other boxes, leave checked. push the button that says "filter" and wait until it's done. all the records you still see are conflicts of varying severity. some will crash your game, and some will just make parts of a mod not work. others you probably wouldn't even notice.

from here, i'd recommend just browsing through and seeing what's going on. hopefully you can find something that's obviously just in the wrong order or maybe causes enough problems that you decide to live without it. also maybe you can search to see if patches exist between some of the mods.

Honestly I don't understand anything of what I'm seeing, where can I find the instructions for TES5Edit?

What do the different colors mean, for example?

it is a lot to take in all at once, which is why i was just recommending it as reference for your troubleshooting needs unless you want to dig into it all.

http://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=TES5Edit_Documentation has a chart in section 4.4

the olive-looking ones are usually an itm record overwriting something and usually need fixed, but sometimes i've even had to make a green plugin red when i was patching mods.
