jojo man
Well, for any FEAR fans among us this should be pretty funny(Gman, Freddy, I mean you). In FEAR there's a weapon called the HV penetrator. It fires large metal spikes at the enemys, and if you deliver the killing shot while the enemy is standing within a few feet of a static object, the spike will actually stake the baddie to it. Anywho, I was playing one day, and I had just managed to grab a penetrator when a pack of evil-doers decided that I was next on their hit-list. I managed to fire a spike into the face of one of them and he was promptly attached to the wall. With just two enemies left, they charged me. I leaned around the corner and started to pump multiple shots into the chest of the one leading the charge(they came at me, single file). Immediatley upon the first badguys death, my framerate hit a brick wall. For a few seconds the game froze completely, and just as I was about to press ctrl-alt-delete, the game unfroze. But somehow the leading enemy had just been tacked to the chest of his trailing buddy! The impact stunned the second badguy and he backed away from me, dragging the attached corpse of the other along with him! I laughed so hard I actually couldn't pull myself together enough to prevent them from killing me.

One time (online), I got shot with one of these, but I got blasted by a grenade at the same time. The result was not pretty. I see my Skeleton half way in the wall (compliments of the Particle gun), and a spray of blood and meat shooting everywhere (compliments of the grenade). Now, the funny thing was that as I died, I had a 'nade that I had thrown. As the death cam shows my body, I see someone tea-bagging it's remains. Then the 'nade goes off. Wham! His body goes flying into the wall where my body was, headfirst! Then, to add insult to injury, my dead, fried body has a physics glitch, and it looks like it's tea-bagging him! I just about died of laughter. ;D
freddycashmercury
Oh, FEAR has some funny stuff. Even just seeing the Spike Penetrator stake someone to a wall for the first time was hilarious! In FEAR, I once threw a grenade. And nothing happened. For some strange reason I still have not figured out, my grenade just vanished..... In a game, Crash Bandicoot Racing or some such thing, you can fire homing missiles, right? Well, I fired three of them at an opponent once, and they just circled him. Around, and around, and around, while he raced across the track....
jojo man
Great story Gman! And this isn't FEAR, but rather Halo3(and it happened just a few days ago too). I was playing 4on4 Team Deathmatch(slayer) on a large outdoor map(Valhalla). One of my teammates quit the game the instant it started so my team was down one player. Deciding that we wouldn't stand a chance unless we stuck together, we traveled closely at all times. We were making our way across the map, and as we rounded a large house-sized rock the team-mate on point managed to cry out "HOSTI---"(had been trying to say "HOSTILE!") before a sniper killed him with a headshot. While I scrambled for cover, my other teammate stopped dead in his tracks, turned to me and asked over team chat--"Whats a Hosti?" And yes, the sniper then killed him while I pissed on myself from laughing so hard. And we actually managed to win the match 47 to 50!
doomjockey
A looooong time ago I'd played Final Fantasy VI. For anyone who's been under a rock for the last decade, FF games are a series of JRPGs produced mainly for console systems. This was for the Super Nintendo. Anyway, I'd been progressing through the game normally when I encountered a new enemy: the Gold Bear. Now that game had some odd enemies, like Rhobites (which are essentially rabbits sitting on a head of lettuce) but this bear took the cake. For whatever reason, it's scripted to steal your gold then run. And not a little gold either. I mean you get messages like "Gold Bear stole 15798 Gold" and he doesn't even stick around so you can get it back! It's so absurd it's hilarious. I loved that bridge map, staking the Combine soldiers to the walls. ;D
Gamerbird
I was just randomly starting again on the Elder Scrolls 4 - Oblivion and I came to one of the times where the mythic dawn attempt to assasinate the emperor. I killed one of them and they fell through the stone floor and you could see the agents legs and his hand which was sticking up from under the stone and his hand was waving. When it stopped I hit his hand and it started waving again! I found this hilarious. Don't know why but I did.

In the FF 2 (US version of FF IV) it was replaced with a big rock meant to crush her... Seems some bright mind thought this way more 'secure' to little ones fantasy sanity. No, don't ask, I really don't understand :)

I closed and pushed then from several angles until they got free and completed the crossing (the horse was stuck in a submerged rock).
