Culuf
I'm not saying make the textures yourself, maybe even use the same acid mesh (copied, renamed) but change the reference to the correct textures!Somehow, I would guess with Fo4Edit or the Fallout 4 CK, these may need to be an entire .esp (and I don't know how to do it!)So the game recognizes the new meshes? Explaining the problem: adhesive, antiseptic, fertilizer and oil all reference the acid texture. I believe that means they all use the same mesh. That is Meshes\Props\Component_Acid.nifI checked using Bethesda Archive Extractor to extract Fallout 4 - Meshes.ba2There is no Component_Adhesive.nif, Component_Antiseptic.nif, Component_Fertilizer.nif or Component_Oil.nifHowever! (After extracting every Fallout 4 - Textures#.ba2)There is ComponentAdhesive_d.DDS, ComponentAntiseptic_d.DDS, ComponentFertilizer_d.DDS and ComponentOil_d.DDS I don't believe they're used at all in game. Either from drops or in the Pipboy. Ethreon
All mentioned textures are used. It's how the material swap is able to change the acid bottle to the other different components. It's saving space where detail is not important.
MissingMeshTV
:wallbash: I've just spent that past hour trying to explain all of this to you your Tech Support section post! Something in your game is breaking the material swaps for those components.
Ethreon
Maybe he wants models for each of those components separate for distinction. Otherwise I don't know what the question is.
MissingMeshTV
Maybe he wants models for each of those components separate for distinction. Otherwise I don't know what the question is.Based on the screenshots from the OPs Tech Support post, none of the components that use the Acid NIF (Adhesive, Oil, Fertilizer) are using the proper material swap and are all showing up with the default Acid texture. OP seemed to think it's an "oversight" on Bethesda's part that they all use the Acid texture and the other textures are "unused."

My problem is as described by RedRocketTV. Based on the screenshots from the OPs Tech Support post, none of the components that use the Acid NIF (Adhesive, Oil, Fertilizer) are using the proper material swap and are all showing up with the default Acid texture. OP seemed to think it's an "oversight" on Bethesda's part that they all use the Acid texture and the other textures are "unused." Sorry! I left that thread and didn't see your latest post. Do you think then that it's a BGSM causing this, or should I deactivate my .esp's one at a time? Edited June 12, 2017 by Culuf
Ethreon
if all your meshes look the same - acid - then you have a conflict. The textures mentioned are all used for the swaps.
Culuf
I found the conflicts, two mods for weightless items :teehee: For the record, RedRocketTV was right and I was wrong.Beware weightless mods!
