  1. In Oldrim, I used to have this mod called Buyable Paintings and Pictures: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24439 It allowed me to layer any screenshot of a character face onto a .dds file and then recreate that character's face in Skyrim after visiting the modded art gallery down the road from Solitude. But that mod isn't available for Skyrim SE. I've uninstalled Oldrim because it's crash to desktop city. Does anyone know of another mod I could get in SE (AE 1.6.640.0) with loose editable .dds files? Preferably on an older compression format than the new one so I can open the texture in Gimp and IrfanView. Edit: Case closed! If anyone else is wondering, I found in https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/22472 C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\textures\BB's Art Supplies\00marzPictures\Plaster-Tall-hanging-bouquet-flowers-mignon-1665.dds It's the old compression rate, can be edited with a .dds plugin in Gimp and is in Aventus Aretino's house :)
  2. I'm trying to swap Anna Henrietta's Queen crown over the tourney champion laurels Geralt wears. So he can wear the crown! But this isn't working and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. At first, I only copied the CMesh of dlc\bob\data\characters\models\main_npc\anna_henrietta\model\i_05_wa__anna_henrietta_crown.w2mesh over the victory laurels' Cmesh. That didn't work after packing+installing the mod and checking in game, so then I copied the String name i_05_wa__anna_henrietta_crown over the victory laurels' String name (and packed+installed then checked in game again). That didn't work either

  4. I think I've pinned down how I feel when I check back and read some comments.
  5. Yes, National Memorial Day to honor those who have died in military service. Flags are flown at half-staff. Only now, they're also flown that way to honor those who died to the virus. Gawd I'm bored without image-share
  6. So.. this is off topic, but I recognize the icon you're using. It was created by 曦 晨chen in Jinhua, China xD
  7. I asked this on another site related to mods, but thought I should ask here too. Is there a mod to make all Generation 3 Synths extremely durable or immune to damage besides a headshot or mininuke? Or would anyone please make one? That is, every NPC that has a synth component which can be looted upon their death. It would be lore friendly! Explanation: The lore I've been reading about G3 Synths is that the very reason a "pure human" (unaffected by radiation or FEV) such as Shaun was sought was due to requiring such a subject for the FEV project. Synths are not only artificially created organics, but the result of perfected FEV. Most likely better than FEV-2 of Mariposa. The Super Mutants there not only retained their former intelligence, but were as the Fallout fandom wiki states: "resistant to trauma, including cuts, bruises and damage from fire, acid or even gunfire". Then why aren't Gen3 Synths as durable? I would consider G3 Synths to be the result of what should be called FEV-3, an even better strain of the forced evolutionary virus. That is, if they weren't so woefully weak. What is "Mankind Redefined" if they're just as intelligent as the average person, have free will, and engage in the same daily activities? Gen3 Synths don't seem like improvements to me. So they wouldn't age, and they would be immune to disease and radiation, but by being created with FEV, they would also be as sterile as Super Mutants. The con being, they're not even able to reproduce and perpetuate their "redefined" species. Unable to have children to continue their family lines, but if they die, that's the end. They're killed so easily that the idea of them as replacements becomes even more ridiculous. Even the Coursers, also Gen3s, are way too weak. As G3 Synths die swiftly to violent actions, without the ability to have offspring, wouldn't they all eventually be wiped out? As a long term plan by the Institute, their creation to replace ordinary humans seems incredibly silly. But not if Gen3s were nearly physically immortal! I really hope someone wants to make this mod. One version most people might like could be that every Gen3 are as durable as the toughest Super Mutants besides a headshot or mininuke (because of the synth component). But what I think would be more awesome is a mod that makes them nigh immortal bullet sponges except for shots to the head! (and mininukes again) Suggested names for the mod: FEV-3 or Mankind Redefined or whatever you want!
  8. Edit: Nevermind, I fixed it. So it's pretty annoying when someone says they fixed something in a thread but then doesn't explain, isn't it? I disabled "Killable Children.esp". I have no idea why it affects replacers, but in my game it did. And I only used that against Raider Children (mod). Other kiddos of the Commonwealth are safe from me I promise!
  9. Is there any possibility in the future of having an "I don't want to see this mod" option for the Hotfiles? This may be an unpopular opinion, but I am SICK of seeing the monstrous Blimp sized boobs every time I go to Skyrim Nexus to check updates. I had to see those on Flickr day in and day out for a few years before I left that site and I'm so glad I did. There was lots of barfing in the trash can  TONS OF PUKE.
  10. After recalling a series of books based on the planet Riverworld by author Philip J Farmer, I'm eager to try out some Riverworld RP  What I need for that though is a mod with a world like Skyrim, but no buildings. As primitive as Skyrim is, it's still too advanced for most of Riverworld. Only tents and stone huts should exist for immersion's sake. Or a completely natural worldspace with no buildings (and lots of rivers or one long one) would be nice! For those of you who haven't read Riverworld, think the game Rust. It's pretty similar to that. To serve this purpose, there's lots of mods I have in mind for crafting + base building. A brand new way to play Skyrim! Who wouldn't want to try this? Live Anywhere - Constructible Shacks Jaxonz Positioner Pocket Empire Builder Campfire Hearth Craft
  11. Is there any way to turn off notifications for "more games" that have been added to Nexus mods? I'm really only interested in the stuff from my friends and followed lists.
  12. https://confrerie-des-traducteurs.fr/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9190 ^I found that, but wanted to make sure if it was okay or not to post in the basic Members imageshare (later on). From what I read trying to find the mod, word was going around that the author of the original translation was banned. If I shouldn't post screens of it, I won't, so would be good to know
  13. So (as I came to the forum only to specifically find an emoji I forgot the name of). Switching your OS to get Microsoft updates? Pfft. Those have only ever caused me personal anguish. Imagine! Coming home after a long day at work, and you just want to play [insert PC game here]. But Microsoft has released a TEN HOUR UPDATE. Calling their customer service gets you an angry man with the same specific accent as every time you call. (Might be considered racist to say, so I'll avoid that.) After last paying Best Buy $65 to fix an update that hung on 2 of 3, wouldn't you be clearly upset? Your time is wasted. The tech support guy is screaming at you to wait. You don't get control of your PC back until the next day. Moral of the story? Google search turning off updates! I don't get them anymore. And after helping my parents with the nightmare that is Win 10, I'll just stick with Win 7. Future games I would miss out on? Maybe I'll get a next-gen console. Meh. Can still play all my favorite old titles. Malware? MalwareBytes and SuperAntiSpyware are free  It's not like Windows 7 is going to completely stop working to view websites, is it? Serious question, not facetious.
  14. I'm sorry I haven't read through the thread if someone has said this already, but! Now I've read through it. Raiders who cry out right after you shoot them directly in the brain. o_O I keep hoping for a "silent deaths" mod.. Disclaimer: I have never actually shot anyone in the brain IRL nor have seen it done outside of movies. This is just an educated guess :D
  15. Usually when you have a bugged situation like this, you need to uncheck 10 mods at a time and start Skyrim over and over until you find the section that turns the bug off by unchecking them. Then you can check one a time within that group, and get rid of the problem mod. Don't forget Savetool! https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/ Sparing that, the typical advice is complete uninstalling and reinstalling your whole game - which has been the traditional lazy response for years now
  16. You were right! I was wrong. It was my mistake and not Bethesda's  By checking and unchecking ten .esp's at a time, starting the game and exiting, I found the culprits. Two mods to make junk items weightless. I'll go inform them in their bugs sections.
  17. I found the conflicts, two mods for weightless items :teehee: For the record, RedRocketTV was right and I was wrong. Beware weightless mods! If an admin comes across this thread, please delete
  18. She. My problem is as described by RedRocketTV. Sorry! I left that thread and didn't see your latest post. Do you think then that it's a BGSM causing this, or should I deactivate my .esp's one at a time?
  19. I'm not saying make the textures yourself, maybe even use the same acid mesh (copied, renamed) but change the reference to the correct textures! Somehow, I would guess with Fo4Edit or the Fallout 4 CK, these may need to be an entire .esp (and I don't know how to do it!) So the game recognizes the new meshes? Explaining the problem: adhesive, antiseptic, fertilizer and oil all reference the acid texture. I believe that means they all use the same mesh. That is Meshes\Props\Component_Acid.nif I checked using Bethesda Archive Extractor to extract Fallout 4 - Meshes.ba2 There is no Component_Adhesive.nif, Component_Antiseptic.nif, Component_Fertilizer.nif or Component_Oil.nif However! (After extracting every Fallout 4 - Textures#.ba2) There is ComponentAdhesive_d.DDS, ComponentAntiseptic_d.DDS, ComponentFertilizer_d.DDS and ComponentOil_d.DDS I don't believe they're used at all in game. Either from drops or in the Pipboy. Pictures for reference:
  20. It's using the acid texture in my Pipboy junk list though  Do you see something different in your Pipboy?I'm beginning to see that it's not accidental. When I set down antiseptic, fertilizer and oil it's still that acid texture.Bethesda Archive Extractor, Fallout 4 - Meshes.ba2 under Meshes/Props doesn't have Component_Antiseptic.nif, Component_Fertilizer.nif or Component_Oil.nif either. This is a lot of images, so I'm going to spoiler. It looks like I'm off to mod requests o_O
  21. I'm really having trouble understanding how Bethesda didn't make a mistake when they have an unused adhesive texture sitting in one of their Fallout 4 - Textures#.ba2 archives. What's wrong with humans making mistakes? Anyway, I have no idea how to do a material swap with a BGSM  I understand editing .nif's to reference different textures, and texture editing. That object I have the "Adhesive" acid-label placed onto in the picture is an OCDispenser. It makes moveable objects static, so can't be kicked or exploded. My main problem is: I'm trying to display all chemicals in separate lines on a table. But I've already put down a row of acid :ermm: Maybe Economy Wonderglue and ignore adhesive, then.
  22. I thought so. This seems to be a blunder by Bethesda (given the texture for adhesive exists). If someone made a simple mod to fix this, I'd endorse that! My OCD is flaring up. http://i.imgur.com/qEfWGX0.jpg
  23. I know what to break down to get adhesive. Vegetable starch made from corn, mutfruit, tato and purified water is especially good for this. However, that's not the point  And I don't think the meshes for glue or duct tape would match up with the bottle intended for the adhesive texture. Here it is in .jpg format, though I converted from .DDS There seems to be no mesh for adhesive  Could someone else drop 1 adhesive in their game and have a look? http://i.imgur.com/LTdI7em.jpg
  24. As I've been setting up chemicals on a table at one of my settlements, I noticed something strange. My adhesive has the texture of "Acid". I exited the game and used Bethesda Archive Extractor on meshes.ba2 For: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\Textures\props\Components There is ComponentAdhesive_d.DDS. BUT! For: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\Meshes\props\Component There is no Component_Adhesive.nif I'm wondering if I have a mod that's doing something strange, because http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Adhesive shows the proper texture of adhesive  Or did they get the image from somewhere else and there is no mesh referencing to the texture?
