N7R
Been watching the Bethesda E3 showcase and they just had a section talking about creation club for games like Fallout and Elder Scrolls. They mentioned you get mods through 'credits' (whatever that is) and the content is made by outside devs and regular players. Stuff such as weapons/armor etc were talked about in terms of what type of content it is. Is this possibly the return of paid mods?
groundx
Well, again mods with ads, trials, that will brake game if downloaded for free. edt: another mod exodus from nexus? And modders who will call other users freeloaders? Edited June 12, 2017 by groundx

ddavies10693
I think what we're seeing is "premium mods" as in certain mods will require paying with real world money. They made it seem as though it requires consent from authors though, so i don't think pre-existing will be taken down and re-upped behind a pay wall. However they BARELY touched on it. So anything could happen.
Deleted631007User
Saw Dogtooth's chinese stealth suit in there... It's not, I was just not looking closely enough and jumped to conclusions because I was tired and pissed. Definitely was not worth staying up for. Alexotero1219
I knew this was going to happen. I guess it depends on how they implement it. The showcase said coming "summer 2017" so well probably hear more about it very soon but im personally very pessimistic.
Moksha8088
Bethesda selling mods. That sounds ominous. If this proliferates it may change the future of modding from creative labors of love to a plodding and formula driven cottage industry.

Moksha8088
Dressing Skyrim's Dragonborn in Zelda clothes for the Nintendo Switch switch presentation may have been accomplished by marketing graduates from Trump University duct taping the regular Bethesda designers and bringing in some of Nintendo's top people.
