croc123
i recently made a post reminding SirSalami that he'd requested me to PM him over a week ago, and that he had yet to respond. That post has disappeared. ('Thin Aired' is my new phrase for the day.) So now you can now be banned from a mod that you have never used, let alone commented on, by an author you don't know, and if you then try to post on it as a site issue, your posts get 'thin aired'. I suppose that is 'Impossible', too. Guys, I am not going away. I am trying to help you get to the bottom of an issue with your website. Any of the staff old enough to remember 'The Car Guys' on CBC radio? Their answer to a suspicious noise was 'Turn up the radio'. Nexusmods staff's answer seems to be 'thin-air the comment' The mod that I have never used or commented on by an author I don't know is "Opulent Outfits - Mage Robes of Winterhold-2017". I am sure that you already have my external IP #. Now go forth and do good. Croc.. postscript: I received one reply to the post that was 'thin-aired', so I know that I am not going over the edge. Thandal
Your threads are "disappearing" because you are using the public forums to discuss/debate actions taken by the staff. This is something that is not, and never has been allowed on the Nexus. If you need to get in contact with a specific member of staff, a PM is the appropriate channel. And if you disagree with something the staff have done you are free to use the "Contact Us" link found at the bottom of every page to bring the matter to the site owner's attention. The Nexus is not the public square. You agreed its Terms of Service when you became a member and the ToS are pretty clear on this: Nexus site staffNexus Mods is owned and maintained by Robin Scott (member name "Dark0ne"). Robin is regarded as the law on Nexus sites and he has the final say on any action that might need to be taken regarding a breach of the terms of service for any Nexus site. What Robin says goes irrespective of whether there has been a breach of the terms of service or not.Nexus sites and the forums are staffed by unpaid volunteers (known as moderators and "staff") who work hard to ensure the smooth operation of Nexus sites and encourage a healthy community. The moderators and other admin on the site have been given specific privileges by Robin to keep the site clean of the bad articles listed in these terms and use their own personal judgement, that Robin trusts, to come to decisions. These moderators have a right to carry out their task without harassment, insult or hassle. Members who believe that a member of staff is not conducting themselves properly should get in contact with Robin. Know that if Robin receives word of any members harassing or being rude to Nexus site staff then he will take every action possible to permanently remove them from his sites. Lisnpuppy
I would like to add also, that a mod author can ban someone from ALL their mods once they have commented on any of them. So perhaps you commented on another of the author's mods and got a author ban for that reason. I will show this to SirSalami. Frankly the mod author tools are set up that it is impossible for them to ban someone if they have not at least commented one time on one of the mods. Authors can also remove the post so it may not be seen by members after that. If there is something wrong with the site it will be addressed but I have not heard of any issues.
