iXenite
I mean that like all the people who already bought the game should still be able to play it and not have to buy it again. So for example if the dude here cannot get a refund then that should not mean he cannot play it just cuz he bought the 'wrong' version. Otherwise that might mean I gotta buy my whole library again every 10 years or something! You have a very good point! Sometimes GOG lets you redeem games you already on Steam with them, thus getting another copy for free, but that obviously doesn't apply to all of them. If the OP can't get a refund (or doesn't want to get one) then that's totally okay. The Steam version can still be made to work, and as the other poster commented recently, TTW is a great way to get Fallout 3 working as well. I have not tried Tale of Two Wastelands yet myself but that is a strong community project that will provide good solid support for people who want to play the games they have bought
Stiffon
Download and install TTW. That way it runs on the NV engine and you get 2 games and all DLC in one!/Second This is how I play it. Also adds a whole lot more enhancements. (TTW = Tale of Two Wastelands) Edited July 10, 2017 by Stiffon
kthompsen
Not sure if mine is stable (since I only installed FO3 and haven't played it on W10), but you should probably use the Windows Live Disabler while you're at it. You should find a link to it in one of the Steam FO3 guides. After you disable Live, you can uninstall it as well. It won't effect Fallout.
