woodtortiose
OBMM is acting strangely for me this past week and i wonder if anyone else has had this problem. I usually convert all my mods to OMOD and install them with obmm. Lately whenever i create an OMOD and try to install it, it doesn't show up in the file list on the left side of the obmm screen, and isn't installed into the game. I have no problems creating an omod, and when I activate it, it seems to activate just fine, but it just never shows up in the active file list! I have about 150 mods going now, is there a cap on what obmm can handle? Since this problem started I have installed a few mods manually, dropping them into my obl/data folder and no problem there, I just cant do it anymore with obmm. Happen to anyone else? I also had another question re: obmm. Does obmm have any kind of search feature? Occasionally I stumble across an item, npc or place and I have no idea which mod its from. For example, I just installed 3 new mods at once, and a minute or so into play this women in steel armor shows up and starts following me around, without any unique dialogue options to let me know who the hell she is! Is she from one of these new mods, or from an old one that just now triggered her appearance? It would be great if I could type her name somewhere and MM would search all the files and tell me which mod she's a part of. This feature may already exist, and I just don't know it (modding and MM mechanics are still pretty baffling to me), and if so, how do I use it? Thanks for the help, Woodtortiose the newb

Thanks for the help, Woodtortiose the newbThe only things that figures at the left side of OBMM window are the ESPs and ESMs. As stated seems you don't have one of those at the mod or it is not at /Data relative path. If the mod you are trying to install is a replacer only it will not figure at the left window and yet this is just OK. As the search feature you can try some others utilities as TES4View among others, I'm not the better fitted to answer about this, sorry.

Happen to anyone else?I had this problem once installing OOO through OBMM. The first time I had just the esm but no esp; the second time I got the esp but not the esm. Everytime the program reported that a problem occurred after the extraction process (can't remember what it said..). I've managed the correct installation of OOO deleting the .omod via OBMM (after saving it elsewhere), then deleting any occurrence of it and finally, after restarting OBMM, reloading it and reactivating it. I don't know really why, sorry! Try surfing the official forums and posting the question in the official thread.. I also had another question re: obmm. Does obmm have any kind of search feature? Thanks for the response, but all the files I've tried installing have esp or esm files, so thats not it. One other odd thing I noticed was a delayed instalation. I installed the personality idles mod, nothing happened, but I never deactivated it. Then, two days later, when I started oblivion it kicked in!? Tamujiin
Your mods are conflicting. When asking a question like this it is nice to post what mod/s you are using. sometimes amod can totally overwrite another even if you omod it. When you have ruffly 150 mods its best to figure out a list where you put certain things like cosmetic stuff first, then armors, then quests, ect ect ect. Also i woul dtry to get wyre bash. If you have that many mods anyway. But read everything in the read me for wyre bash before you really mess up your game. I just configured my mods, I had 298 esp's/esm's and then the game wouldnt run so i had to get rid of some crappy mods i wont use anyway. then the game worked great. Mods conflict even when they are converted to omods. Let me know if it works for you.
crowlotus
I have a question about OBMM. Whenever I try using the Mod Conflict Detector, my computer completely crashes and locks up. I have to manually unplug the computer to get my system to reboot. Any help would be appreciated in this matter. I hardly check the forums here so the quickest way would be to PM me. Thank you in advance.
Tomlong54210
This is a really old thread to bump, and it doesn't even seem particularly relevant... Anyway, OBMM can use a lot of memory when loading that utility because it has to analyze the entire Data folder. Switching to Bash and using it's installer, BAIN, is one possible solution because it is much more optimized. What kind of memory does your machine have? What OS are you running, and where is the game installed? --Tomlong54210
