Fallout 4 cut content mods list

I'm posting this here to keep this as a reference...

This will be updated over time...

Here is Fallout 4's base vanilla cut content upon launch:

https://tcrf.net/Fallout_4 & http://fallout.wikia...t_4_cut_content

There may be "official" sources which claim they list all of Fallout 4's cut content, however with games this large there may be vast amounts of "cut" content that aren't even on these lists. Throughout the course of the game's development the developers continually played out their ideas, and I'm sure many ideas didn't make the cut - many of which are hard to find traces or evidence of. There probably isn't evidence of many things Bethesda cut or planned on.

I think it's a special thing to be able to resurrect the cut and in a sense lost artistic content that the developers of Fallout 4 worked on. Maybe they would have included these things in the game, if they could... Maybe not... I wonder what some of Bethesda's developers have to say in response to the situation of modders restoring their (un)planned work to the public? I for one think it's amazing.

It's also a pertinent consumer / ethics issue at play here. We are seeing through Bethesda's failures/dirty tricks and I really don't think it's fair that they cut tons of content only to make us pay for it later. Using a program like FO4Edit, you can even see leftover cut content in the base files of the vanilla game. There might be more than meets the eye to the whole "oh, there wasn't enough time, so they cut everything" story.

Some of these mods require DLC, it would be awesome if non-DLC versions could be made.

Here are mods which aren't necessarily (known to be) cut content but add to the experience in sensible, historically accurate or lore-friendly ways:

I originally suggested that "someone" make a mod that includes many of these things in one mod. I see many mods like this already on the nexus, so they are allowed(?illuminati?)

My original words: "...someone should make a compilation mod..."
^(I didn't know I had to elaborate more and go over the legal bounds of modding again, and say "make sure you get permission" etc)

I guess qwertyzeldar was possibly triggered/alarmed by how I phrased it and used the word "compilation" as it may have been thought that I implied I wanted someone to steal everyone else's work, label it their own, and combine it into one mod.

Crimsomrider already gave a helpful tutorial on this...

And anyway, this person here in the link below already gave a helpful tutorial on how to do what I think qwerty thought I was soliciting people to do...

from the terms of service you agreed to when you signed up:

Do not upload compilations of other users work irrespective of whether the authors of the work you would like to compile together have agreed to your using their work in your compilation. For example: no "my favourite mods" lists or "best weapon" compilations.

i do not need to explain something you said you read.

But the problem is, there's already mods like this on the nexus. So what happens now? What is the nexusmods plan of action?

there are exceptions made by the staff for certain mods such as Immersive Armors, but these are special cases and are quite rare.

there are exceptions

Of course there are.

made by the staff

You mean the practical authoritarian hidden hand?

for certain mods such as Immersive Armors

You mean whatever mod this website decides to make famous?

but these are special cases and are quite rare.

No, they aren't. They aren't rare because every other mod I want to install features work not created by the author.

You'd think one of the biggest modding websites would foster this kind of work.

Just because my compilation idea wasn't what you (or the website) had in mind, doesn't mean you have to shoot it down with one sentence. Thanks. I really did only post this thread here for reference, and as an added bonus I threw the idea how "hey maybe it would be cool if someone or group of people worked on this" but no

And btw, this website's rules are a literal example of double-speak, double-talk... Does this make sense?

  • All files uploaded must have been created by the uploader or used with permission from the original author of the content. Such permission must be indicated in the Readme text attached to the file and/or on the Description page (or in the Description field for images), and must be obtained in advance, before uploading the file. If you cannot provide proof of consent then your file will be removed and your account is likely to be banned.
  • Always provide appropriate credit to authors who have given you permission to use their content in your files both within the file description and within your file readme, even if said content was published as free to use.

Now juxtaposed with this rule:

  • Do not upload compilations of other users work irrespective of whether the authors of the work you would like to compile together have agreed to your using their work in your compilation. For example: no "my favourite mods" lists or "best weapon" compilations.

What exactly is going on here?

So apparently, all you have to do is add something yourself and it's OK? This is still up in the air at this point.
