aarons6
i made a half of a helmet. im trying to mirror it to the other half, the problem is, the original half the texture on the outside, mirror half texture on the inside.. how do i fix this? i think i might have gotten that figured out..now is there a button that auto welds both the halves together? galy3
Your center vertex need to be on axis x 0 first. Second you apply a symmetry modifier on axis x 0. If your model is not showing, just flip it in symmetry option.
Jakisthe
Also, be sure to make it clone instead of just moving when adjust the original mirror gizmo. As far as welding goes...eh...I suppose you could either:-EP mod, select relevant faces and bridge them-EP and vertex weld, although this might cause serious clipping.-boolean union. Probably the easiest, but you'd lose control over operand modifiers so you'd need to finalize those.
Ghogiel
mirroring inverts face normals. reset xform and add a normals modifier to flip it back.
galy3
Why not just using symmetry? Symmetry; automatic weld, no flip face, no booleam, no bridge to do and the list go on and on. Just use symmetry modifier!
