if those insta-basements/vault structures aren't quite what you're looking for,

there's also

"any door to any where" and new lands ,

so you could use those with "place anywhere"

to put your door anywhere you want.

it's a great kludge rather than having to fiddle with the GECK or other stuff.

 

greekrage, petard and folks use this

to make their large warehouse-basement type settlements.

 

add to that,

elevators through doorportals are how many elevators do transitions,

such as the Mass Fusion large elevator etc, the large central Institute elevator,

and you can make some very interesting settlements

you could then link those to the UnderBoston non-procedurally iterative 'fixed' cells,

and to other interior or exterior cells.
