bben46
From the readme on this mod: If you already have characters make sure you copy each characters saves to my documents/my games/oblivion/saves/Character Name/ When you run the program it will scan the save directory for character directories. Upon hitting load it will alter your oblivion.ini's default save location. This allows for all characters to have their own autosave. You can also create a new character which again changes the defualt save location and auto creates the directory (oblivion can auto create, but this is just safer). I think the path should read C:\documents and Settings\your user name\My Documents\My games\Oblivion\saves\Character name With a separate folder for each character name. ie if you have characters named Aurthur, Betty and Charles, you need a \saves\Arthur, a \saves\Bettey and a \saves\Charles. Note that the slash is reversed! Should be '\' (back slash) , Not '/' (front slash)

bben46
Try putting all of your saves back in their original folder. and getting rid of the save manager you have. Then if you can access them try using the OBMM save game manager instead.
nosisab
The utility he placed the link states it creates a file named saveman.ini I think this must be verified (I thought there were something fishy long ago)

What does this mean? Assuming you removed the 'save game manager' this file wasn't to be there (I don't even know it, but I'm strongly inclined to think it being the problem) I suggest you rename it to saveman.inibkp and test the game again better yet, move it to another folder If even this fail, so I suggest you reinstall the save manager again, without that ini so it creates a new one. nosisab
As I don't know the utility and I'm not tempted to install it to test. I hope it didn't changed more things that already messed mechanism. You can try a mod named 'Oblivion Character manager' that do a thing similar this other does but never gave me troubles.

nosisab
If even reinstalling this weird thing someone called a utility don't help I think not even praying to the nine will help too.
