Is there a way to convert morrowind mods to Oblivion?Or possable for some one to rebuild them to oblivion? For example the seaquest mod or the romace mod or many others is this possable? Keshyngul Posted May 8, 2008 Share Posted May 8, 2008 Well as far as a resource, Morrowind mods couldn't be used (to my knowledge) sure you could have the same basic idea. For example- same quest storyline only you remake it for oblivion (obviously) so could you make a remake for oblivion, absolutely. Could you convert the original file? I do not believe so. novastorm13 Posted May 10, 2008 Author Share Posted May 10, 2008 Okay I am sorry I made it sound as if I have no modding skills ..I have modded for several game in the past (star trek armada 1-2 never winter nights). SO yes I did figure that converting the meshes and textures are possable but what about the quest and dialog and the game engines abilaty to push the idea of a sub.AS for the morrowwind/oblivion mod after reading it before I made my first post I noticed it says nothing about converting and a lot about adding the morrowwind portal that adds only area that has morrowind in it .And it did not sound as if the to where truly mereged .Looking throught the read me that was listed it looked more of the lines that while in the morrowind portal you where fine what it did not say was what happens when you take a morrowind sword into the oblivion portal and without that being stated in the read me then Im left to guess that it would shut the game down so heres what I learned so far 1 yes the mesh and textures can be converted from anything as long as you can xport them in the right format. 2 yes the storys and dilog can be ether re-wrote or reset to work what I still dont know is the game engine able to run the idea of subs,cars,marraige and child raiseing,etc... so now I guess the question becomes how bad did they change the engine and will it still support these fetures?
