blamedagoose
i was looking through some mods on the nexus and saw a bunch of metro inspired mods like "gas masks of the commonwealth" and "subway runner" right? anyway I started looking for a mod that would change the pip boy light (because I use "pip pad" and love metro) to a flip lighter LIKE METRO as I was looking I noticed there wasn't any mods at all that changed the way the pip boy light worked. I think it'd be cool to have that flip lighter with custom animations, custom light levels, styles, and maybe add some webs to slow us down in the "subway runner" mod as well as just normal underground areas that we can take down with the lighter or a flamer. would love to see this mod somewhere but sadly I can't mod. jkruse05
No lighter, and I imagine adding one in the off hand like Metro would be pretty tough. However, there are several mods that can give you different lighting options and a better interior/underground atmosphere. So, you want something to change up your personal light source. If you want something like a lighter the best option right now is probably Legendary Lamps, install with your PipBoy options set to omnidirectional with a really low radius, like 30%, then change your PipBoy light color to a nice orange in the game options. Now, if you want to have that AND a regular directional flashlight you're gonna want Tactical Flashlights and/or Combat Helmet Illumination. You can also use Legendary Lamps if you want those flashlights to look different, like smaller or dimmer. If you want to completely replace the Pip-Boy light with a regular flashlight you can do that with Legendary Lamps or Pip-Boy Flashlight. Other options include No Pip-Boy Light, if you want to make finding or building a flashlight a requirement. Road Flares, for a very atmospheric lighting source (I highly suggest the alternate file from the comments to get longer lasting flares http://www.mediafire.com/file/ac337zhsac14sie/FlareFXExplosion.nif (Put this in Fallout4/Data/Meshes/Effects) ). And, of course, PipBoy Flashlight Sound - Metro Version. The last mod I want to recommend is for audio, not lighting, but it has really made a difference in the underground/interior atmosphere for me. Reverb and Ambiance Overhaul. And after all that I think I'm gonna see if I can add a flicker effect and lighter sound to the Pipboy light... montky
yeah, a lighter and being able to smoke a victory cigar would be funwould the light/flame be an animation on a transparent solid, such as a 50cal? there were a couple of awesome pipboy lights."F-ray" - this showed alpha and geometry vision in the 'light path'. perfect for detecting hidden entrances,or diffracting through an animation decal and seeing liquid metal doors etc. "X-ray"'/"blacklight" - this changed the lighting profile to blacklight. also came in strobe mode, and v3 has the X01 and X02 eye sockets as xray lights'holoprojector'/'fingerpuppets' - this allowed animations to play across the light surfaceincluding 'shadowpuppets' etc. it looks creepy when it plays the animations in sync with the "books" holovision suites hehe. there's also 'cheating' - using the Lazer or Rad Musket as a light source from the glow hehe. the glow stick and road-flares mod is pretty awesome too.
