I just started a new playthrough after adding some more mods via NMM but after escorting prestion garvey near red rocket he goes of course and goes into the water instead of crossing the bridge causing all the npcs to get stuck and me being unable to finish the quest; i think this might be due to the mod repairable bridge but im wondering if anyone had a similiar problem.

Yeah its because of the bridge. The navmesh needs to be fixed. Remove that mod while you that quest. I personally wouldn't use it because you'll have performance problems later when building a big enough settlement.

awesome stuff,

it can be frustrating.

rather than uninstall, you have 2 or 3 "kludges" available;

the lack of precombine and navmeshing,

makes the game think there's nothing there... hence why it's not walking.

Kludge 1 -

you can use place anywhere, to build a bridge on your bridge, for that quest...

"I hear you like bridges... so, we put a bridge on your bridge..." hehe

i know it's stupid, but it works. after the quest is done, you can delete the bridgebridge and it should all be good.

if you have a large bridge, like the overpass or barn-style bridge,

the bridge-bridge on top of the bridge, will be quite high up...

or, you could just place a series of floor tiles with place-anywhere,

and they'll go via that.

kludge 2.

using "any door to any where",

place a door at side A of the bridge with the navmesh issue

and side B on the other side clear of the navmesh issue...

they should path with you through that doorportal

to the other side, and continue.

I had to do this with "Barn Style Americana Bridge", and it works like a charm.

kludge 3

using console commands, either;

teleport the refID to the other side of the obstruction.

or,

toggle the quest ID to completed hehe (that is outright cheating huh?)

kludge 4

using RuadHan2300s teleport gun...

manually teleport all the effected NPC's to the other side of the bridge.

they should then continue on.

I think you can place the exit in the museum and it will work okay if you wanted to teleport directly to the museum and bypass the exterior encounter...

^^

I hope one of the above Kludges is of use for this weird what-the,

and you're able to get back to having fun and modding around the Boston Commonwealth in no time.

Problem with the mod is that if uninstalled it doesn't bring back the vanilla bridge and it removes textures from certain houses in sanctuary
