subtleshade
Greetings.Just noticed that when logging in via the nexus mods page, it is over an unsecured connection.Considering previous problems on the site, i just wanted to know how or if this is in any way a problem with regards to security?Best regards. Lisnpuppy
It perhaps would be helpful to see the error message (or to know what it said exactly) you received (not showing your password of course) when logging on showing the connection was unsecure. Also the browser you are using for the site may be helpful as well.
Jannifer
I use Firefox (latest version), and I've seen this message also. It's a little pop-up that shows when you go to enter your username and password. It does say something along the lines that "You are about to enter personal information over an unsecured connection. Your information may be somethingsomethingsomething (meaning vulnerable)."
Lisnpuppy
Ok that pops up for me BEFORE the correct log in name is entered. It then changes to secure. I'll get a screenie if its needed.
subtleshade
Yes, sorry i forgot to mention it is a new feature in firefox. It just struck a nerve as per the problems relating to accounts here a couple of years back.-I do believe it is not a problem, but better safe than sorry. At the same time, I still would like an answer as i take security on the web seriously.Error 40 and all that considered. ;)Cheers
Thandal
Log-in on the forums first. That side is fully https by default. (Some pages have mixed-mode, but not the log-in.)
