Hellscreamy
Hey guys, I have been messing around with the Creation Kit for a while now and I started making a few characters and worlds. The problem is that I want to use items and hairstyles from other plugins and use them for my own created character. I load the plugins and active file I want to change and edit everything exactly like I want it. However, after I save and close the Creation Kit and reload the plugins, it hasn't saved the files. I haven't changed the files in Data structure and I load the correct plugins every time I start working on the character. Is there some trick I have to use to make sure it saves the references to the items? Hellscreamy
Bumping Sometimes it does seem to use the correct plugins, hair is loading correctly but I am stilling having troubles with custom armor and such. Characters will walk around naked when I load everything in Skyrim and the links to the plugins don't save when I exit CK

nosisab
Using resources from another ESP should be avoided. The hair works because it is only textures/meshes files which don't need ESP. Albeit working many times, references to another ESP can get on a big mess depending on several factors, load order not the minor of them. That's the reason for items intended to be shared resources to be placed in ESM instead ESP. Edited February 27, 2012 by nosisab
Hellscreamy
Thanks, the link was just what I needed. So if I am correct, if I want to add a new character in a existing interior (say an inn or something), I have to convert the my plugin from esp to esm. The ESM mastering technique looks the easiest for this but I am not sure if adding new characters to an interior cell counts as making changes to the cells. Hellscreamy
Oke, I have tried the .esp Mastering technique but I can't edit my mod, it says I have multiple master files selected. I have done the following:I took the mod I wanted to use in my own plugin and Espified it (it turned up blue). I then tried loading up my own plugin and made it the active file, then loaded it together with the Skyrim master file, hair master file and the espified mod. Then it gave the error multiple master files were loaded and then aborted the whole progress. What am I doing wrong, did I espify the wrong mod or did I do something else wrong in the process? scrivener07
Add bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1 under [General] in SkyrimEditor.ini in your /Skyrim folder. For some reason this initially disabled.

For some reason this initially disabled. Thanks, didn't knew about that. I'll see if I can now add custom armor to my characters.
