DX9 VRAM has been fixed!

Drat - this was supposed to be a Quote Reply to Merscil. !

Just go to Windows and get it. I had no problems bringing it down and installing it, apart from my AVG blue-screen merry-go-round. I had to use Safe Mode to reinstall AVG.

Don't forget to create a Restore Point before starting the Update!

I take it you weren't scheduled for the automatic updates either then? Your first post isn't really reassuring...

My new number from the dx9 test tool is 40768. Is that the number that goes in the videomemorysizemb inside of the enblocal ini?

Do we still have to follow the whole subtraction from this value? -350 for win10 64 I believe? or is it -170? or is there just a 10240 cap if it exceeds that value? I lost track of how many opinions there are on forums out there for the correct number in this section ;)

Never install feature update unless promoted via Windows update. Upgrade assistant (or install via ISO/ Bootable while system is intact) will mess up all the drivers.

Edit: Quote wrong person.

Oh great, I guess I'll probably have to wait another year before I get this update then...

No max is 10240

http://enbdev.com/mod_tesskyrim_v0318.htm

v0.250: Changed ENBoost, now it support up to 128 Gb of memory or about 192 when compression enabled, may be this will be useful for the future.Â

Thatâs strange that Iâve never seen anyone mention this before. Iâve seen all kinds of weird equations used to determine max video memory, and theyâve always stated the max is 10240 MB. Thatâd be awesome if itâs true, i do have more than 10240 combined ram and vram

My previos post quotes the words written by the ENB author.

I see that, I just am finding it odd more than anything that in all the time Iâve spent reading people arguing over the settings Iâve never read anyone mention this information written on the enbdev website. Just perplexed by it, thatâs all.

Awesome! That's good to know ... So then it looks like we can put in the actually VRAM amount!

Fullex2064, are you going to bump it up to the full 16K?

I'm probably going to have to start another thread on this because I don't see much information about AMD Crossfire and ENB

Yeah I just added in my full amount available and didnât really notice a major difference from 10240. I was already getting close to consistent 60 FPS outdoors with some minor drops, those drops still happen but itâs still better than it was prior to the windows update
