I am new to gaming, and just have a question: Some of the mods I have installed contain a number of "ITM" records and deleted references. Loot suggests cleaning with TES5Edit, but how this is done is unclear (even with the cleaning guide), and what the heck IS an ITM record?

Do I have to Dl a copy of it for every game I have? When I open it.. it seems stuck on Oblivion... Should I choose Wyrebash or NMM? If I should have both Why?

@salllyo - the NMM should be able to detect all of the games you have installed including skyrim... if it's not giving you that option you can always go to the change game mode option at the top bar, then rescan installed games. As far as wryebash is concerned, you could use it as a mod manager instead of NMM if you wanted to, but as far as I know most people use it to make a "bashed patch" which is useful if you have a lot of armor, spell, or weapon mods. The beginner's guide here has an overview of how to use wrye bash - just scroll down to the relevant section.

Hello all,

 

I used to have a pc disk for the game but having had it destroyed by a grandson by accident, I got the steam version of the game ages ago. It's been a long time since I have played. I used to use wrye bash and boss all the time and I had tons of mods going. I stopped playing when I had a usual setup of my favorite mods and after adding a few more mods to that list, the game just stopped working. It had to be a mod conflict I believe but for the love of whomever I could not figure it out and even after removing all of the newer mods it just wouldn't load the game anymore past the first loading screen. I ended up thinking that the problem may have been that I was using Steam's version.

 

Will BOSS work with Steam? Is there anything special to know? Does BOSS have an installer like NMM does so that I can use Nexus Mods instead of the steam workshop, or am I stuck with the workshop?

From my limited understanding, Wrye Bash is the upgrade for Boss for Skyrim. I haven't seen an installer but I use NMM myself and have not really looked. Don't forget LOOT and Tes5Edit.

It seems i'm not very skilled in fix that... actually I can play quite smooth but my scripts are messed up, it is like play a bunch of adventures mixed up. Also PSQ can't made my char transform and Blush When Aroused still give out errors. Only thing working until now is the body.

A fast question about mod index. Couldn't find an answer just anywhere else.

Does it have something to do with the data of a savegame?

 

For example:

Lets say that there are mods A.esp and B.esp, that doesn't affect one another and, thus, can be placed both AB and BA way and still work.

Situation # 1: new game started with AB order, played, saved. Then, order changes to BA for whatever the reason.

Situation # 2: new game started with AB order, played, saved. Then, C.esm is installed. That m makes Mod Organiser to put the mods in either CAB or CBA order.

 

Question is: will it cause any troubles (like, enlarging your CTD chance by X cm %) because of the fact that mod indexes will be changed?
