:wallbash: Okay, I am having tons of problems with armor mods, every time I try to get some new clothing for my character it is always Invisible, Like the Deceivers armor, my character would put on boots and her feet would dissapear ,gloves her hands would dissapear and with some of them the item would turn a really bright purple. I am putting these files in Oblivion/Data, I have Exnems activated with Oblivion Mod manager, I am checking the .esp's, I tried installing the updates, I even tried un/reinstalling oblivion. I checked all of the posts and nothing seemed to help, could I have all bad files?, I mean I have tried more than one armor and they all are invisible. Should I maybe manually install? and how do I do that? any help would be appreciated. :wallbash:

totally invisible parts means neither the meshes and textures are in the correct place. the most common mistake is moving the whole mod folder (I mean a folder with the mod name) to /data.

Remember each file must go into its own directory. This mean than it's OK you move Textures folder overwriting the one in /data, since this actually means you are appending files to it or even overwriting files there, and this is expected. repeat to Meshes, Sounds... In fact you can select all contents inside the mod folder and moving it directly to /data most of times.

Once this is done, remembering ESPs, ESMs goes directly into /data they must be activated. You can use utilities as OBMM to do this.

Edit: You can extract directly (as your post seems you do).. the points here are, as appears in the main extractor window:

1 - You see only a folder /Data and some files - you must extract to /Oblivion

2 - You see Several folders named Textures, Sounds, Meshes ... and ESPs, ESMs and documentation files. - They must be extracted to /Oblivion/Data

3 - You see a folder with the mod name - You must extract it to a temp folder and perform the hints above.

There are reports of extractors placing files in wrong places even when those hints above are followed, this mean it is not configured to honor relative paths. If this is your case you can fix that configuration or use another extractor (the 7z one is free and behaves well ever)

Final hint: Aways read carefully the documentation instructions.
