Invisible Weapons after playing a while

First off, hello!

Now let's dive into the issue. Weapons will, after a certain amount of time which is random, disappear. Let's say I have my rifle out, hunting rifle, if I switch to a different weapon after a while of playing there is a good chance that new weapon is invisible and some weapons on NPCs also go invisible. The weird thing is, if I switch back to the hunting rifle, that is now invisible too! All of the weapons function normally to include zooming in but they are invisible from that point on. A few things don't go invisible (so far my 10mm pistol and machete stay visible no matter what) but that doesn't stop the rest of the weapons on NPCs from being invisible. I have absolutely no idea what is causing this. I don't know if its a memory issue or what. I have searched the internet for months to my problem and can't really seem to find someone with the same issue. I know there is an invisible weapon swap bug, BUT that bug is about a delay before the weapons appear not a permanent disappearance. If there is anyone that can help me with this, I would greatly appreciate it.

By the way, my only current fix is to save the game. Exit to desktop. Restart the game. Reload save and "Ta Da" the weapons are back.

how many mods are you running and what are your PC specs?

a few people have commented in the past that they can play ok for a few hours and then they get various game breakers that are gone on reload, so it could be a memory leak.

the good news is that your save loads and the game runs fine for a while before it happens again, so it isn't a script making the save unplayable.

First, thanks for the quick reply! Now here's the answers:

155 mods (the data size comes to about 4 gigs, most of the mods are very small)

[email protected] (Actual performance is at 3.15)

16 gb RAM (ddr3)

GTX 980 Ti (rarely above 45C, never for Fallout 4 but other games yes)

1tb hard drive, NO SSD

Not sure if the following clarifying information matters but occasionally (more like rarely) the game will CTD with no warning at all. Happens so infrequently that I haven't really treated it as a big a big deal. You said it may be a memory leak so I feel inclined to share that I leave my task manager running in the background these days to see what's happening when the darn thing goes invisible weapons and I have found that my CPU usage is typically maxed to 70 percent at those times (before/during); not sure if that matters at all.

the game is telling you to take a break

After only as little as 30 minutes? Strong union.

if you insist

but in this case

the union is also telling you

get a better machine
