CaptainPatch
Loved the main FCR quest. HOWEVER, in completing FCR, rescued Milton. There is an option (apparently) to make Milton a Companion, which I did not do, as I was still using Peter. Since then however, I CAN"T GET RID OF MILTON. He follows me EVERYWHERE, no matter how many times I fast travel. no matter where I go or what I do. I can't even take him on as a Companion so I can then Dismiss him. That's because the ONLY response I get when I Talk to him is, "Hey there, friend. I sure hope we can travel together sometime." End of conversation. What is killing my game is that Milton insists on putting himself wherever the cursor is if it lingers there for more than three seconds. That means every time I'm trying to craft something at a work station, every time I'm improving a settlement site, every time I'm examining a potential opponent through my weapon's scope, there's Milton blocking the view. I have tried every way imaginable to get rid of Milton, or to at least keep him out of my field of view. That includes Building a fence around him. (He teleports to in front of me eventually.) Apparently he's Essential, because he literally can't be killed. He gets knocked down, "Gotta catch my breath" status. And when he recovers back to full health -- which is damn fast -- he starts to attack relentlessly. That's the real issue now, because now I'm being attacked every 30-60 seconds. Has anyone ever encountered this glitch with FCR's Milton? Has anyone found a solution for getting rid of Milton? I do NOT want to uninstall FCR because there is some stuff that I picked up there that I do not want to poof out of existence along with Milton. But if that is what it takes to get rid of him... DoctorKaizeld
Temp fix would be to disable him through the console. Someone more familiar with the mod will probably have a better answer though.

(Analogy: I know the keys on a piano, but I don't know how to play it.)
DoctorKaizeld
select Milton and type disable
MightyZ0G
select Milton and type disableyou might want to make a note of his ID code when you select him before disabling him, just in case. also, if he doesn't disappear when you use the disable command, you have disabled something else, so just type enable and hit enter and that will bring it back, then try selecting Milton again. you could also try recycleactor and/or restAI with Milton selected to see if either of those stop him getting in your way.you might also want to use the openactorcontainer 1 command on him to retrieve any good loot items he has in his pockets :D

CaptainPatch
Thanks, folks. Like so many other things in Life, it's simple... once you already know what to do.
MissingMeshTV
A crazy idea I know, but have you looked at the City Fusion Rising mod page? They have a very extensive articles section with LOTS of info on how to work around issues with the mod, including quest stages for each of the mod's quests. Those can be used for getting around bugged quests, which sounds like what you have. There is a very good chance you would find a solution or workaround in the info provided by the mod authors. CaptainPatch
I actually started to place my query there. I even posted to "Report a bug", TWICE, but thereafter I couldn't find just where those posts appeared. It was like somebody was taking the time to delete those posts before they were seen by too many people. Played hide-and-go-seek for over an hour, but I couldn't locate anything that looked like my specific glitch or Milton following like a lost puppy. So I gave up and came back home to here where, naturally, I quickly was given a solution.
