exnem's amazon armor and sluggo's silk dancer clothes not wokr

I went to fort wooden hand to get the amazon armor, but when I found the amazon warlord she was completely naked, but when I killed her she had the armor in her inventory but when I'd equip it nothing would show up on my character. It had the icons and everything.

The silk dancer mod would turn my character invisibled except for the head and hands, and there was no icons. There was no icons folder when I downloaded either.

Did you check to ensure you put all the files in the correct folders for the silk dancer?

For the other one, sometimes items will not equip if they are broken. Make sure they do not need to be repaired. That's all I can think of at the moment.

Yes, I put everything where it was suppose to be..with both.

The armor does equip it just doesn't show up on my character, and some it of renders my character partially invisible. Like, boots make the feet invisible, the cuirass or bra makes the torso invisible and so forth. I downloaded another exnem mod called seductress and it works fine, only it doesn't have any icons when my character picks it up.

I checked my folders and everything is there..well there is something that seems out of place...and that's in the clothes folder of the meshes and textures folders there is a folder titled "meshes" which contains the silk dancer outfit

The mod community for Oblivion is beginning to irritate me.

I was certain I put everything where it was suppose to, unless 7-zip is screwed up. But it seems alot of people are having the same kind of trouble with these mods and other armor/clothing mods, so maybe we need better modders. Alongside this it's difficult to get any help with a problem such as this...this topic is an example.

I'm realy close to forsaking the modding scene altogether.....and message forums.

People here are truly willing to be of help and your post is unfair !

Also, this is a forum, not an instant messaging, and you have to tolerate some hours of impatience to be able to enjoy hours of FREE additional game contents through user mods.

If all that thing does irritate you so much do not use mod and stick with vanilla game.

your loss if you do, but might i say that i felt the same way also when i first started modding, and i realized a few days down the road that the problem wasnt this site. it was me.

You cant get all whiny and pissy when something doesn't work for you. Sit back take a breath and figure it out.

The reason why it takes time to answer your topic is because topics like this have been asked probably 1000 times on this forum alone. Maybe first off what you could do is explore the site a little more, find the mod trouble shooting area and find your answer there.

One more thing, Modding Ob is actually so easy its hard at first. Its just one of those things that'll make you laugh when you look back at how difficult it was. I would keep trying if i were you because its actually quite fun.

I'm not blaming anyone for my problems, it's just I've had alot trouble with mods in just the past three weeks that I've been playing Oblivion.

I did search but I didn't find anything related to this problem., and the thread for these two mods has been dead for awhile. There were people posting in it that were having the same problems as me too, but the author never posted a fix.

It's not than your specific mod have an answer. The common place here is that invisible items have a thing in common, the game can't find the mesh file "and" the texture one "Where" it expect they. Some files are supposed to be on the mesh folder, others should be under a folder of itself (says a mod-name folder inside the Meshes one). Each approach have their pros and cons. Having its own folder eases the eventual uninstalling while being directly at the Meshes folder is more 'intuitive'.

Unless anyone knows that specific mod and knows its structure and so can place a cookbook like recipe here. You yourself is the better one to read the documentation with care so to know where each file and folder must go.

Another thing the user can do by him/herself is looking at the comments about this or that specific mod... if there are too much complaints chances are the mod itself is flawed, or it is packed beyond the average user knowledge, or just lacks good documentation.

My own experience says, most of times is the user to be blamed for not even reading the "readme"

As you said the mods threads are dead, this is even more true. Maybe you must avoid then at all. In the case of the Amazon one, I think it was integrated into OOO.

Edit: One of my female chars got the gear from several amazon NPCs, including wise mothers and even the one from the great mother I'll name here Nature's fury as I'm insecure her real name. And not only could wear then, yet more, sold it to a Merchant (from mod too) and when revisited she (the merchant) was wearing that armor.

Since you don't posted your mods load list. Assuming you have OOO, you can even have a conflict here being the guilt for the mess.

You can not expect instant answers to your questions and problems. Last night, you were not the only person I was trying to help. A lot of the people here will go out of their way to help people fix their game, but you have to be patient. One guy was having so much trouble that I ended up making a video to show him what to do, by the time I came back to help you again, as I was posting, lightning damaged my internet satellite. The repairman just replaced it an hour ago.

However, due to something that was brought to my attention just now by the modders Aoikani and Alienslof, I am adopting a new policy. I will not continue to help anyone who flames/disrespects a modder or trashtalks the community, I don't care how small, I don't care how right you think you are and I don't care if you type "LOL" after you say it. I ask that all other helpers and tech-support members follow suite. These people who think the world revolves around them are driving away our modders and we do not need them here.
