leirynot Posted February 28, 2012 Share Posted February 28, 2012 Whenever I try to use a bow the game crashes, I will hold the mouse button down, draw the arrow, then when I release the mouse button it crashes to desktop. I uninstalled all animation mods to fix some initial problems. I've since reinstalled several of them and they seem to be working ok now. Uninstall any that you have and see if that fixes it, and you can reinstall one at a time to see where the problem occurs. If you don't have animation mods, I have no idea what could be causing it, unless you made changes to arrow behaviour in the .ini or something like that. I have a dual-wield animation, I'll try by removing that.I have arrow mods, but I've been playing with those for over a month now, never had any issues. Issues started today.I did mess around with the .ini, for the aiming only. Used the method you can find on the wikia, just adding two lines to center the aim. My offset for the arrow flight is HUGE! It goes up and left by at least 3 crosshairs -.- That's why I edited the .ini. I'll revert it to normal and see what happens. But I had it edited for a long time before this started happening.I'll remove the dual-wield animation too, when I get the results I'll post it back here, might take a few hours, sometimes it crashes every other shot, sometimes it's after a few hours -.- EDIT: RESULTS Seems it crashes due to the edit in the .ini fine, which is wierd, because I've had that edit for a long time now...------------------f1PArrowTiltUpAngle=0.7f3PArrowTiltUpAngle=0.7------------------ Now I'm stuck with a bow as accurate as a shotgun among snipers. Mods that work as intended under patch 1.5 don't necessarily work correctly under version 1.6. Some modders have made updates to their mods just to make them compatible with 1.6. Mjel72 Posted June 24, 2012 Share Posted June 24, 2012 @leirynot if you have arrow tweaks and close quivers and longer arrows mods that could be your problem. I had both of these mods and the game would run fine until I took out my bow. I used to get one or two shots off and then CTD, this would happen without fail every time I tried to use my bow. I uninstalled close quivers and longer arrows and that fixed my problem. This problem happened for me during 1.5 patch as that is when I had both of these installed.
