Who is the BEST companion

My current worst companion is/was Curie. I've recently rescued her from Vault 81, and after an implausibly short time she has decided she wants to become human. So after the initial dialogue, it goes like this

I am using the workshop at Sanctuary and she is hovering so close her thruster is singeing my pants

'Ave you found zumone to elp me become yuman ?"

"Not yet"

I move to the weapons bench.

Whirring of servos behind me.

'Ave you found zumone to elp me become yuman ?"

"Top Priority"

Repeat this at 2 minute intervals.

I dismiss her.

I take my power armor off and get a CTD.

Whole process repeats.

 

I swear that whoever designed her AI and dialogue must have hated the French, Robots or just life in general.

If you think that is a bit much, try to do some crafting in the basement of the Raider's Emporium in the Outcasts and Remnants mod.

Yep. I left her in the vault this time. I forgot to mention I like Nick quite a bit. Finally found all the tapes- for once- and finished his side quest. I still like Piper and Heather as companions so I can hear Heather tell Piper off every once in a while. :devil: Companions that don't like each other or get along is both realistic and pretty amusing to me. I'm glad llamaRCA put that in there. :thumbsup:

Ya, Heather was my favorite, except for the BOS Love. Didn't care for the rest, dumped all of them except Piper, without any of the perks.

I'm surprised there's no mod that makes Curie stop asking for humanity.

 

In any case, the correct answer as to who the best companion is, will always be Hancock! Thank God for the AFT mod, it lets me turn off his likes/loves, so now i finally have a chance to hear what he says about his brother after the institute explodes.

 

Gage is real interesting, and doesn't annoy me. He just suffers the same problem most companions other than Hancock have, of having too little to say.

 

Heather is pretty good too, i just can't get over how much she sounds like someone's mom. I know that's terrible! But it's just too unattractive.

R404 is great, though. Just a bit too many "I'm prewar too" lines. Just the fact that she spams the same 3 lines every 60 seconds is the problem. Can't really relate to her whatsoever.

Unlike Cait, who i relate to alot. She just barks too much annoying s#*!.

R4-04 really has some great Far Harbor lines. Audrey's Nuka-World and Automaton lines were good too. I never seem to take Birdie anywhere. I guess I have a preference for female characters and Inigo.

 

I am missing some of the chattier companions from Skyrim, especially more comments on the weather, the scenery, the quests, and most of all companion singing when we are out walking. Wouldn't it be fun to hear Heather sing a few stanzas from the oldie My Boyfriend's Back once the romance heats up? Hope Llama will be blessed with a finished recording studio at some future date.

R4-04 really has some great Far Harbor lines. Audrey's Nuka-World and Automaton lines were good too...

Yeah, R4-04 and Audrey were my fave companions anyways but the patch that gave them DLC commentary made them total stars.

For me, nodded is Heather Casein by a lot. Unmodded, probably Piper.

Thank goodness for MODS! I like so many of them! Ivy is my favorite hands down! lol... I like piper,Curie, Nick and Cait out of the in game followers. Out of the modded followers my most favorite is Ivy then comes Heather then Ada 2 (Human), then Ellen the cartographer then Athena (robot) then Skadi a voiced female half super mutant.

There are so many mod companions that I have changed to my liking. That makes my list even bigger! I usually have an army of followers at all times. No less than 7 and up to 27! My record is 82. I did the 82 just to test the "Unlimited Companion Framework" mod. I actually could have added more If I wanted to But my computer's resources was at it's limit with 82 I think, so I stopped there. I made a video to prove that I did it!==>

I just can't draw a line and leave followers that I like having with me behind. I love having all of my favorite companions with me. I mentioned a modded companion that I like a lot, and that's Athena 4.0. She has a Wonderful Custom voice and some great dialog too. I just don't understand Why she isn't used more by more Fallout 4 players. As far as fighting abilities and styles that the companions use in game... It matters NOT when you have an army of companions with you. I love, Love, LOVE watching them all go ape s#*! when the enemy is upon us. I just step out of the way and watch the show. Very entertaining!!!
