Need a name suggestion for a special Vault section

Hi all,

 

I need help in finding a great name for a Special Vault Section I'm working on.

Basically, the way that section will be presented to the Vault's residents is an "Elite Section" for good behavior. If a resident behaves well, he/she gets promoted to that section. Like a section with better services, food, etc... a better Vault within the Vault.

 

So far the name I came up with is "The Garden". But I kinda feel it's missing something. I don't want to use Utopia either.

given your other projects, it's the least I can do to help SCAMPER and ideas-workshop hehe.

 

garden is neat, though GECK's are in vaults, so that might get confusing between GECKs and the Arboretum etc...

that might convey an unintentional "become the wormfood"/"soylent green" vibe. haha

 

perhaps, a lame 50s style Acronym?

think "what would "Mad Men" do?"

its a pithy word, but people still covet it?

 

this acronym may also be a mnemonic cue/framing device

from VaultTec about the experiment of this 'wing'/section of the vault...

it's a secret word, for a special club, that they're a part of, and you're not.

- is it geriatrics only? or does 'selection' mean, only older folks with power are there?

ie, "God's waiting room" area of the vault, for elders who're affluent?

 

is it actually genuinely better on the other side? or, do horrific things happen,

and no-one is ever heard from again once they're sent to this 'elite area'?

 

-is entrance partly determined based on GOAT scores?

ie, are the people on that side of the vault "A+ go getter nerds"/intelligentsia?

 

without further ado, some lame acronym ideas are below:

 

  Reveal hidden contents

 

Yuppies-Only Admittance Area 'YOAA - pronounced "Yoh-Ah" or Yo-ah-ay.

"Say aloha to YOAA"

"Hooray for YOAA!" <- hinting some affluent bostonians might pronounce it that way.

"Live the A+ life in YOAA, today!"

"YOAA is for go'ers (Go Getters)"

"Admittance to YOAA is only granted by your Overseer. Have you done your sycophantic duty for the vault today?"

 

S*censored*y Abodes Division. "SAD"

Superior Aptitude Decampment

"Happy isn't enough, you wanna be SAD. Secure entry to SAD" <- this vault was trying to force everyone to be optimistic-biased all the time...

testing "The Antidote" hehe. or, to make this vault overcome any adversity in their mental outlook,

to make superior Enclave soldiers impervious to enemy propaganda or interrogation.

 

MOAB - more overtly-awesome bunks.

"The bombs might have dropped, but there's no reason for standards to too.

Join MOAB, and have a blast".

vault dwellers excluded from the club might have a different take on this acronym...

Morons-Only A$$holes Barracks <- replete with graffiti slogans etc.

"Be like Ahab, spear a MOAB-er today!"

 

OLYMPUS. <-

(Acronym not found: Vault Tec really went next-level to hide this one,

that is, if this was ever an 'official' vault tec experiment at all).

 

GRASS <- Greater Residents Allocation/Social Study.

Gracious Recipients and Advocates Superannuity System.

Gifted Resident Apartments Sans Stupidity

Geriatric Retirement Approach: SuperSoldier program.

"Find out if the GRASS really is greener on the other side, do your part around the vault and earn entrance to GRASS."

"Jealous? Don't get angry, improve yourself, and maybe, you'll earn entry to GRASS."

'Only the top brass get in to GRASS".

I think you get the idea;

use some 50s-era words, like SWELL etc,

and turn that old word into an acronym/backronym.

Holly Guacamoly Montky, did you have that already written somewhere? LOL

I actually like Olympus! The other ones are hilarious, but would not fit the overall idea.

But Olympus is way better that the garden and you're right, kinda sound like GECK.

As far as what's really happening inside, well.. no spoilers... but wormfood... well..erm... who knows.... [insert evil face here]

But I think It could be an official Vault-Tec experiment. I'm using Vault 71, one of the rare Vault Number that hasn't been used in both Canon and non-canon stuff (well, I think, lol)

Haha, I like it too but Olympus is really my choice. It fits perfectly with the (small) lore I created for this Vault. I just don't want to spoil it, yet :P

I'm normally not the religious type, but given that the original editor was called the GECK, you might call it the Garden of Eden.
