l3lacklagoon
Ok no s*** Sherlock, but not being able to use a mod because the mod author has stopped updating it is kinda stupid. If I have attempted to contact the author will all of the tools available to me should I not be able to share the fixes with this community or is the mod dead and all use of the mod dead with it? If I were to change the same bits of code as them on my own and post it without using any of these assets would that be ok. Like I want the author to be recognized for his work but I also want the Mod to be playable. Is that so much to ask for?

You are out of luck and you'll have to deal with it, just like the rest of the community. You can ofc make a tutorial page and explain how to fix it. DoctorKaizeld
Why would you ask if you knew the answer?
l3lacklagoon
I'm asking why the community doesn't have a contingency plan for this?In the real world if you don't actively defend your product then it is all right for others to use it. What I'm asking is why don't we have something similar to this. Allowing other people to carry on work of a modder who has stopped working a project. So the main reason I am Bringing this up is a Perk Mod I use hasn't been updated in about a year and a half and so some of the perks don't work anymore. All I want to do is release a Quick Fix so that everyone who uses this mod doesn't have to go through and edit all of the esp. And rather than going behind people's back and releasing my own Perk mod with his number and fixes I want to release fixes to his.

In the real world if you don't actively defend your product then it is all right for others to use it.that is not true. What I'm asking is why don't we have something similar to this. Allowing other people to carry on work of a modder who has stopped working a project.because the Nexus follows copyright laws and so without the authors permission we can do nothing. l3lacklagoon
Ok I guess I am Wrong and will have to hand out the fixes to anyone who asks for them because the mod author might as well be dead. And if that is how I have to do it that is fine I'm was just seeing if there was a way for me to help people who were having trouble with the mod in question without giving it to them individual. Sorry I asked
