Problems with skse

When i start the game with skse i get the message "SKSE community uncapper only supports skyrim version 1.4.21", and when i click off the error the game loads ok but i think some of my mods (probably the ones that rely on skse) are not not being loaded with the game.

 

Has there been a recent patch in the last couple of days or something?

I just disabled SKSE and used the normal launcher to play without it the past two nights. A nice side effect is that instead of the usual 10-15 CTD or freezes that I usually encounter during a 4-6 hour session, I had ZERO both nights.

 

These issues have been ongoing for me since 1.4, with both SKSE 1_04_10 and 1_04_13.

 

I am ready to walk away from it for good. SkyUI gives me a warning box, but that is far more tolerable than the absolute lack of stability it brings.

These issues have been ongoing for me since 1.4, with both SKSE 1_04_10 and 1_04_13.

 

I am ready to walk away from it for good. SkyUI gives me a warning box, but that is far more tolerable than the absolute lack of stability it brings.

 

Is skyUI the only mod that uses skse though? or are some of my other mods going to be disabled too when i do this, thanks.

Elys uncapper was already updated, as you may be aware at this moment.

 

For the while, SKSE is working only like an injector, somewhat like Script Dragon and have only plugins, which makes all them vulnerable to game's patching. Let's hope is not far the day it will resume it's real role as "Script Extender" for only then the newbies modders will understand SKSE "power".

 

About instability, I have no problem at all with skse and use Elys uncapper, categorized favorites and SkyUI. Well, the day the patch "got" me by surprise I had issues with the game crashing before the main menu, but that was only because the load order got messed. Problem solved by now.

I imagine there are several, I am running 48 atm, well 47. SkyUI is "broke" without SKSE, but even broke, it is better than vanilla. I suspect that other things are broke as well, but are failing silently. So, I am just taking what I have for now and enjoying stable playtime. I really have not had time to go through every mod I use and see if it uses SKSE or not, maybe when Nexus bandwidth gets bumped next week ;)

 

Like I said, it is an easy test. If you are crashing, use the original game loader, and see what happens when you run with out SKSE... It definitely worked for me, about 14 crash free hours now.
