Magnonuts
Before I played Skyrim I anticipated it to be this really bleak and brutal medieval-themed game, so I made my character look real bleak and brutal as well. Now it turns out the world isn't all that bleak and brutal after all and my character just kind of looks out of place with his uglyness. Is there any way to change the way your character looks after the character creation in the beginning?
thompsonar
You can type "showracemenu" in the console, but be careful because it can reset all your stats sometimes. Save before you do it and check to make sure everything is the same after you're done. There's some other glitches that can happen with it too. You can use the search function of the forums for more info if you need it.
Staind716
Just use console commands. Hit the `~ key to access commands and type in showracemenu. You can then change your characters appearance. Just make sure you don't change race or it might reset some of your stats. As long as you stay on the same race it is no problem. You can change everything just like when you originally created your character including the name.
Rabbit1251
Open the game console by tapping the tilde "~" key (it will be to the left of your "1" key).Type "showracemenu" without the quotes.Close the console (tilde key again).Alter your character. Note that you will lose your stats if you change your race as the previous poster says. Best leave them be.When you are satisfied click 'done'.
