PaulMcGann
So, I'm a huge fan of Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire. And also getting back into Skyrim (probably because watching Game of Thrones has made me want to explore an icy tundra with my sword on my back again). The one thing I've always disliked about the Elder Scrolls games, though, is how prevalent magic is - even in a place like Skyrim where it's supposed to be viewed with suspicion. Does that sound like a place that every village blacksmith sells magical, enchanted weapons out the wazoo in to you guys? It doesn't to me. And every other bandit has the training/power to throw fire from oblivion at you in? So, I was thinking, how difficult would it be to make magic more special? I've been modding for a while, but I'm totally unfamiliar with making mods for Skyrim. Anyone want to point me in the direction I need to go to make this mod? (Or think it's a great idea and make it themselves or with me? Hah.)
Novem99
And what is magic like in GoT/ASoIaF?
PaulMcGann
It's very rare, and when it happens, it's powerful. Basically, I'm talking about finding only a handful of magical items throughout an entire playthrough and only a handful of NPCs being able to use magic outside of the College of Winterhold. NinjaWarriorPoet
That's relatively easy, just tedious. You have to remove the magic items from the leveled lists, change quest rewards, change NPC spawns, probably change the spells to make them more powerful, longer cast times.... Good Luck! PaulMcGann
Haha, yeah. Wish I had time to do it. 20 bucks to anyone who has the time and needs 20 bucks. Clarification: that was a joke. No more jokes before coffee for me.
