I'm trying to do exactly this. I want a kukri in game so bad it hurts. I am in the process of learning to use blender nifskope and creation kit, so I will let you know if I figure it out... If I can get my own head around these programs these weapons will be the very first I make. Probly gonna upload them on my own to the nexus, but I'll give them to you so you can retex them or customize them however you want and upload your own, I won't mind you using my meshes once I make them. Let me know if someone beats me/us to it too, why has no one made a kukri mod yet is beyond me! Oh, I did see one 3d model like we want on a site... http://www.turbosquid.com/FullPreview/Index.cfm/ID/540044

It's 25 bucks!

What?! Really?!

Anyway, I'm not buying it, but if you do, I could put it in game easy, they have a .obj for it that I could load in nifskope and from there, the CK... I can't believe they want 25 bucks!

You just need to search more.

All free as far as I can tell (some sites require registration though):

But yes, quality 3d objects usually cost money considering they take quite a bit of work and knowledge.

Aye after looking at the programs used i can understand why they cost cash, but i dont have cash to spend lol. Just wish these programs had a draw tool that i was capable of using, there just so complicated even with the tutorials i have seen there mentally hard to use.

gchokyong, if you do manage to create them id add them to my mod and credit you, textures if its a metal or bone blade its all good lol. Im going to have another bash at using blender and hope i can get my head around it. If i can there are so many other weapons i would make, but im not optimistic about my chances of using it lol.

I dont understand how a program that works mainly with lines, curves and shapes is soo unrelentingly complicated lol

I can't texture really well (and I hate it too) but I did make the sickle you wanted in Maya. Heres the obj file.

EDIT:

I've forgotten to smooth the final file before uploading it. Don't forget to smooth it before getting into texturing.

I suppose you could start with this stage of the tutorial now that modelling is done and so forth:

R274 you are a legend dude, thanks so much for creating the sickle. Im going to have to wait on getting the texture done untill i have watched most of the other tutorial videos, so far all i have ever done is worked within the construction sets/kit so models and textures are a bit over my head. thanks again bud Edited by gloomygrim

Ok after a night of learning how to use mudbox to a respectable level, this is how far i have gotten at texturing the sickle. I know its not been smothed much to get the nice sweeping arch but i quite like the angular look to the blade, should have it finished soon, then i can get it ready for adding into the ck.

I just finished the primmer for the kukri,
