Skyrim Low FPS. Bad system or bad ini tweaks?

Recommended Posts

Specs:

GPU: RX 480 8gb

CPU: RX 8350

RAM: 16 gb

Display: 1920x1080

Am I missing something here? Every ENB I try I tank to 30 fps even though people with much worse systems than mine report having 50-60. Even on very light weight ENBs, it starting to become annoying.

Your not alone, its enb tanking your fps. Disable it and your fps will recover. Even with a gtx 1070 the enb would tank my fps, got a problem somewhere there, not blaming the card or cpu. :geek:

Oh i almost forgot to mention is this the special edition you are using then it may be something totally different :teehee: :geek:

What mods are ya using??

Regular edition skyrim.

Mods are:

Realistic Skyrim Overhaul (2k)

Pure Waters

Verdant Grass

Climates of Tamriel

Enhanced Lights and FX.

Those are the only mods I used while playing. 60 fps while ENB is off, but everytime I turn an ENB on it drops to 30, even super light-weight ENBs. It annoys me because I have seen people with lower system specs maintain 50-60 fps with ENBs so im wondering if im doing something wrong here.

It could be Verdant Grass, i had nothing but unstable fps with that mod for some reason, i been tweaking the ini a lot and i am getting 60fps, stable so far.

I never heard of Realistic Skyrim Overhaul, now that's a texture mod. It says it works with se to  , that could be your problem. Verdant to, if you have continues fps drop, remove all mods and start over from scratch. If the fps tanks you know you have a problem, thats how i trouble shoot using the Nexus Mod manager works well. And make sure to loot your mods

Realistic Skyrim Overhaul is massive. 10gb worth of files.
