Donations to mod authors

Hi.

 

I seem to recall that there used to be a button to click to donate to a mod author...

 

...if I'm right, it's vanished.

 

I've got Skyrim and SkyrimSE creation kit and tried a fairly complex mod but gave up after a while because of how hard it is to get it just right. I therefore know a bit about how much work goes into some of these creations.

 

I've downloaded a couple of exceptional mods recently but can't find a way to donate to the mod authors, which I'd love to do.

 

How is it done?

 

P.S. there's no way I'd pay Bethesda $5 for a rubbish suit of armour but I'd happily donate that for a well-made Nexus quest mod.

It only exists if the MA enables it.

To further clarify, donation buttons to show up can be enabled both on each file page individually and on the author's profile page.

So if you can't find a donation button on one of their files, you can also check their others or their profile page.

If you can't find a donate button for an author but would really like to donate to them you could always contact them - if they don't want your money directly, perhaps they'd appreciate a donation to a cause or charity. And if they don't want anything at all, maybe they'd just get a happy feeling from your thank you note!
