Raiders (not crabs) at the Castle

So what if Raiders, and not crabs, held the Castle before you take it back? The area in the Castle could be filled with a shanty town settlement of junk parts (scrappable) suitable for a settlement of Raiders. Thus taking the Castle back has more significance because it is about breaking up the power base of the raiders. Perhaps inside the Castle there might be a terminal log explaining how the Raiders took over the Castle and spread the rumor of a "giant fish monster attack" or something similar.

 

Along with this idea might be that the Castle gets attacked much more frequently by a Raider or Gunner factions (10 = 6 Raider, 2 Gunner, 2 everything else). Perhaps after so many attempted attacks (presumably to reclaim the Castle for themselves) these additional attacks subside and things settle down to normal levels of settlement attack. Or not, perhaps it always remains a high value target of opportunity due to its location and as a show of force against any who would oppose them.

 

To add insult to injury perhaps the Castle can actually be lost as a settlement if not properly defended over so many attacks. Regardless of the defense level of the Castle the attacks still happen.

Yeah, I'd see that one previously and was part of the inspiration for the request. Anyone wanna take up the challenge of filling the Castle full of Raiders for the initial encounter however?
