  3. So now each rank of a weapon skill perk reduces recoil for that weapon type by 5%. I also tied Strength requirements into this system, so if you don't meet the STR REQ for a weapon, it will have +100% recoil. (Along with some other effects, probably - like reduced movement speed.) Sounds fair. Questions: a)How many skill perk rank will there be? b)How will that affect NPCs? Will we still have scrubby thin raiders running around with gatling guns? c) How will the purchase of nuclear submarines by Australia affect the overall mating behavior of native saltwater crocodiles? :devil:

  5. I think we should start a tradition for a wish list of mods for the new year. This could become a well of inspiration for modders out there! Here is my 2022 wish list QOK (Quality Of Killing) AKA Weapons LMT L129A1 :: A modern workhorse for a designated marksman. Beretta BM 59 :: A classic blend of American and Italian know how. Beretta M1951 Pistol :: Underrated classic that saw action in the Middle East as the Helwan. FN Hi-Power :: We are long overdue for a redo of this one. QOL (Quality Of Living) Mods Pause After Loading Screens (From Skyrim SSE) Morning Fog (From Skyrim SSE) :: Please someone make this for Boston mornings! That's it for me, what about anyone else wishlist?

  7. I would really like for someone to port over the Skyrim mod Morning Fog SSE. Boston is a coastal city and is frequently beset by fog. I think this mod would fit the game perfectly. Anyone else feel that way?

It does a hell of a lot more damage than vanilla 5mm, but still less than .308. So if you come across a minigun with dozens or hundreds of surplus rounds in tow, you can use those in battle/sniper rifles, but they'll do a lot less damage (and probably be less accurate and gunk the weapon up faster). Then, it goes without saying that you also add some 7.62x51mm that is more powerful than the regular type, that happens to make more damage and gunk up the gun slower. More expensive -sure and rarer too. Seems only balanced to me.
  9. Also the *supporter only* images message must stop. Close to one quarter of the images are now blocked off on my notification list. This was not the case before. I also get the red *connection error* ALL THE TIME. Just so that you know. I hope you fix this down the road. And I mean not the road to Tijuana. Thanks for listening.
  10. I wish someone could add the Terrifying Presence Perk in Fallout 4. ''The user gains the ability to initiate combat while terrifying a mob of opponents, sending them fleeing away for safety or attacking in fear of their lives.'' Sounds useful versus raiders and other scum. It could also be used (in say, level 50+) as a last ditch bargaining chip for vendors who are a bit greedy.
  11. The whole weapon factory part of the mod is great. But I submit a twist if I may. To learn how to use them the player would have to find a secret factory inspired by real life Ayalon Institute. They ran an underground ammo factory under a kibbutz, right under the British occupation force in the 1940's. Now imagine the player having to find leads, and confronting Npcs to discover where said factory is. Once you do discover it, it unlocks the machine tools... One can surmise that many factions, Gunners, Raiders and obviously the BOS would like to get their hands on this.

  13. Okay so I take a lot of in-game screenshots. And I use poses. So I have an idea for a useful mod - an overlay that appears in game that, when you use a pose in game, it shows the .hkx on screen in the bottom right corner. It should probably use the MCM, so you can turn it on or off. It would make much easier to catalog poses in one's collection. I bet a thousand caps I am not the only one who could use this. Anyone else feels this?

You just gave me *another* idea - specifically for a new Assaultron 'hand/weapon' - The "Assaultron Riot Control Shield (ARCS)": Basically, it's a collapsible riot shield built into a 'gauntlet'. It's made of some kinda fancy electro-plastic that is as rigid and hard as the solid plastic of IRL riot-shields when it has an electrical current running through it ((engaged automatically whenever the robot enters combat, and de-activated once combat is over)). When there is no current, the plastic becomes soft and flexible, allowing it to much more easily 'fold up' into its compact 'passive' form. Of course, there would be an upgraded version with a higher level of power running through it that causes melee energy damage (less than an actual offensive weapon, but still something), with a chance to stun. The "Assaultron Helmet" armour piece already has opening/closing modes and animations based on combat state, so that part shouldn't be TOO hard to apply to the shield... The real issue would be creating new AI and animations for the various robots to be able to use the item properly. ...I really should start sketching up some of this stuff - I can 'concept art' well enough, and indeed, have done such with weapon designs before (just not for Fallout)... ~JD Sounds very ambitious animation wise. Animation is very long and very time consuming. I think It might be better to create a riot shield for it. Period. And give it decent animation to use it would be HUGE step forward since said animation could then be modified to use with the player character.
  18. Also I was meaning to ask. I use the NPC Travel mod. Will your various cargo bots appear in game along with them? In fact will any NPCs at all in game appears with your mods?

  21. Good news everyone! I was contacted by CG4 Lens rain original mod author NexusScoomaDrop and he has kindly accepted for the mod to be ported over to Fo4! I would now require a generous someone with the required skillset to perform that task. I would greatly appreciate help to get this mod humming along.

  23. Given the nature of the all the cargo carriers's job, I would suggest you go with the values you mentionned below. The Robobrain and Sentry Bot cargo carrier values are the most subject to change. Ideally I want the Sentry Bot's CC CW bonus to be higher than the Robobrain but lower than the Protectron (Cargotron), so hey, maybe it will instead be like: - Assaultron: 100 - Robobrain: 150 - Sentry Bot: 200 - Protectron: 250 The speed penalty justifies IMO the higher payload. In real life 200lbs is not that much for a powered mechanical device. You can always charge more for building and repairing it to compensate as well. Then again, its your call.
  24. If your mod is for strictly personal use, no problem there. However any copyrighted song cannot be included in ANY mod, unless a) you have written agreement from copyrighted owner with or without financial compensation. b) you have said agreement and do not monetized planned mod. IANAL and your mileage may vary. But as a rule copyrighted songs are a BIG no-no and can bring a world of legal AND monetary pain. Not to mention possibly a ban here. If you want to get a taste of that barrel of crap that is song copyright, look up the "Happy Birthday' song and its companion mess and how long it took to finally kill it off. Enjoy your flight!
