Enemies disappear into nothingness when killed

Something that's been popping up in my modded games lately is that sometimes, whenever I kill an NPC, they seem to just vanish. Their death shouts get cut off when they do so, and they typically leave their weapons and shields behind. I don't know if they're either disappearing or they're just being flung out of the area I'm in extremely quickly, but it's very annoying. Any help in fixing this problem would be greatly appreciated.

My guess is either you have a mod that adds a great quantity of enemies in the world which requires the game to remove them when they die so it doesn't freeze or lag. The other explanation is you have a mod that adds a script to your enemies so they disappear on death.

 

By random did you play after disabling VanillaCombatEnhanced.esp to check if the problem remains?

I uninstalled both VCE and Migick's Miscellaneous, made a new save and fought against two bandits near Vilverin. Both of them seemed to have vanished after I killed them, but they were actually still visible in the map. Both of them were flung rather far though, and they seemed to have been thrown backwards; one of them had their body stuck to the ground.

Later versions of skeleton.nif that are based on Growlfs skeleton will do that. I'm not at home until tomorrow to give you info and links to the solution I found (involves Realistic Fatigue & Basic Physical Activities and how I've tweaked their settings).

Let me know if you want me to post my own tweaked RealisticFatigue.ini for a reference point for your own tweaks (I'm back home and have access to my gaming machine again). I checked my BasicPhysicalActivities.ini but see I didn't make any tweaks there that will be relevant to the issue (just made tweaks to min and max walk speeds).
