Greetings.

Im a noob and have 2 questions.

1. Ive downloaded 3 different named body replacement packages: Eye Candy, HGEC, & Exnems. Are these completly different from one another?

2. Ive also downloaded CM Companions and clothes, armor and weapons, how do I get them to wear or use it?

Thank you for any help you can give me.

Yes, they are different. HGEC is an improved version of Eye Candy, and you will need the original Eye Candy body to use it. However, Exenems is different. And you can only use one body mod (one male & one female) in the game. Unfortunately. I would like to be able to use them all to have more variety. Usually, the last mod loaded will overwrite the others, but it can cause some strange problems when some body part doesn't match. Also, clothing, If the clothing was made for one body it may not work or cause problems on another. Some will just replace the body part it covers but some will cause things like clipping, weird textures or colors on the body. Or even cause them to be invisible.

As to making CM companions wear what you want them to, take away every thing else. And even then they will walk around naked sometimes or reset to their original clothing. As far as the standard stuff, they will wear the best they have (best armor, use best weapon etc) but sometimes they don't recognize the custom stuff as better. A non named NPC will reset in 3 game days to their original equipment.

Once the Partner, or whoever, has formally joined your party, then you get to talk to them via the drop down list of 'actions'. In that list, usually , will be an entry for inventory, or such like. Click on that, then the Partners inventory will open. Then do as above. You'll get the hang of it. Always save first before initiating a request, if you're not sure. That way if you irritate them enough to make them walk away... you can load a save and try again. Good luck.
