AnEwoksWrath
I grabbed this a while ago and finally started playing (again) but my character's head is a drastically different color than the body. I've played this since launch on console and have never encountered something like this. I haven't touched mods at all yet and messing with the .ini files didn't do anything. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1170259921 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1170260224 I'm at a loss for what to do. Anyone have an idea on how I can fix this?
iXenite
It happens even in Vanilla.
M48A5
Try using one of the neck seam concealing mods that are available. Just use the phrase "neck seam" in the search.
dubiousintent
"Different color between head and body". Please see the 'Issue: Skin tone mismatch between head and body' entry under the 'Solutions to Mesh (Red "!" icon) or Texture (solid color) problems' section in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide. If you have a "merged patch" file, remember that you need to rebuild it whenever you add, move, or remove a plugin in your "load order". It is totally dependent upon the mod indexes at the time it is built. -Dubious-
AnEwoksWrath
Tried the suggestions and nothing is working. I uninstalled everything including the game itself and the issue persists but I'm new to modding so maybe I'm doing something wrong. I'm using NMM, I downloaded this: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35935/?, I downloaded this https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/34702/?, and the end result is in the screenshots. I modified the .ini files, I tried creating a merged patch, nothing.
dubiousintent
If you are using NMM, then you do not need to install the "ArchiveInvalidation Invalidation" mod as it's function is already present. The "Beware of Girl" mod is a "texture replacer". You also need an appropriate "Body Replacer". You need a better understanding of what is involved. Please see the 'Body Replacement Basics" section of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article. -Dubious-
AnEwoksWrath
Can you link me to the appropriate body replacer? I'm really not making any progress on my own.
M48A5
Can you link me to the appropriate body replacer? I'm really not making any progress on my own.The Beware of Girl mod has all you need to try and correct your problem. It has both the meshes and textures. Since you are using Nexus Mod Manager, do not use the Archive Invalidation file that you downloaded. NMM has archive invalidation built in. It can be found under the "Tools" tab. Make sure it is off before you install the texture replacers. When you are finished with the installation, turn Archive Invalidation on again. I am not sure if NMM will install this correctly, so I suggest you download the body of your choice and install it manually.
