Crosstieger
Hey guys I'm currently doing some mesh-up. I combined two outfits using outfit studio which worked very well. Now I wanted to add some robotic parts which are vanilla assets. I extracted the following files from the DLCRobot - Main.ba2 archive: AssaultronConstructionArmLeftArmor_01.nifAssaultronConstructionArmLeftArmor_09.nifAssaultronConstructionArmLeftArmor_10.nif and imported them into my outfit. The problem: Half of the mesh is not showing ingame but is very much visible in outfit studio and bodyslide... Why could this be? I'm pretty sure I weighted everything correctly. Jereko
I assume the part that is missing is a separate mesh. Its just a guess, but it could have something to do with the pipboy. I believe in FO3 the section of the arm under the pip boy disappeared to prevent clipping. Something similar could be happening here. You could try combining the robot parts into a single mesh, though you'd need to retexture. I would put it on a companion and see if it looks correct on them. Crosstieger
Well the thing is that only parts of a mesh are missing. For example the tubes at the top are part of the same mesh as the little yellow plate at the back of the upper arm. Also isn't the first person model corresponding with the pip boy? It also looks the same on companions... Anyway I found a "fix" or "workaround?". I removed everything except the robot parts of my outfit and exported that into a new nif file. I then loaded that nif file in nifskope and exported the entire NiNode as a obj file which I then imported in Outfit Studio. And voila everything appears ingame. If you understand this behaviour, please let me know, cause I don’t. :D
Jereko
Weird, maybe there were was a normals issue? I dunno, the nif format is weird. I spend the weekend battling it over a weapon mod issue, that one day I will defeat. Anyways, glad you were able to make some progress and gave your hack/fix. Could help someone else someday. Deleted15964729User
Looks like a weighting or skinning issue.
Yulliah
I have had this issue in the past... Some parts of the nif 'stack' on top of the character... In outfit studio it looks fine, but when you load the complete nif into nifscope or in game, the parts will be stacked high above the rest of the outfit... You can fix this by making it work in outfit studio, then load it into nifscope and then change the z position to 0. Save. done. When you then load it back into outfit studio is CAN look weird, but doesn't always... I mostly had this issue with custom meshes, but it happens every so often...
