mileafly
I am not sure if I am missing something, but why are so many mods so popular that make the characters look like some vapid "fashion models" with spiky hair that looks like some fourteen year old that just walked out of a Justin Bieber concert? I am not trying to bash on anybody, but I just want to understand the appeal and why people like to play with these abominations. M48A5
There is no accounting for tastes. Not everybody likes the same things. You have made it very clear that you don't like some of the hair mods that are available. Nobody cares that you don't like them. One of the rules of Nexus, don't like it, don't use it and pass in silence. Meaning don't bash something just because it is not to your taste. Again, nobody cares. For the thousandth time one of these badly disguised bash posts. I wished Nexus would finally impose penalties against this break of rules. mileafly
I am actually really curious about what the appeal is. I would not care if it was a really fringe minority who dibbled in it, but it seems a very common thing, even by people who put a ton of time and thought to their game. I am actually curious what it is. Edited October 31, 2017 by mileafly
Deleted3082751User
hairstyle defines the character, you don't want to spend hours creating the perfect looking bombshell, only to have bethesda vanilla hairstyles, ruin the entire image. different hairstyles drastically change the entire look of the character. that is why people use these hairstyles, i am 1 such person, its all about choice and diversity, these hair mods grant these choices and diversity. diversity and choice its what its all about, hence the reason why people mod their games in the first place. its just like saying, why do females in the real world not all have the exact same generic hairstyle, the answer, because diversity. and their are most likely many females in the real world that would have hairstyles similar to these mods. so it goes beyond the game, as females in the real world do in fact have the majority of these hairstyles, so you are not only looking down on the mods, but at women in the real world as well. my advice learn culture and then the picture will become more clear. these hairstyles in mods are not just made up, their inspiration most probably come from other entertainment such as films and games and real world hairstyles all of which most likely go hand in hand. and then lastly, the majority of people that play skyrim, tend to play as females, just as the majority of content leads to the more female side, and as such those that do play females, will end up spending much more time creating their character, and the hairstyle is as important (if not more important) then any other feature. for the record this entire post is refeering to hair mods. however some if it can be associated to mods that use these hairstyles. Evangela
Because people like those silly hairstyles. You don't like them, I don't care for them and actually like the vanilla ones, but other people like different hairstyle mods. That's all there is to it. Modding has always been about tastes and wanting something different, or better.
Yaguer
Makes sense to me the people that choose these hair styles, I feel like many of them seen anime at least once, or popular ones like Beserk, DBZ, other cliche ones, etc, or are avid book readers. Some of them are dumb to me, others are gorgeous.Though I will have to stick up for the OP, because maybe I don't see the "underlining bashing" in his post, but what is the big deal in him asking this question. I genuinely want to know how he could've re-phrased this question to make it an innocent non-troll question and not receive "rule breaking" responses?
