tomsite
SKSE64 FIXSpread these steps! That's how you solve this nonsense. Show them! 1. Start by pressing win+R, and then pasting: steam://nav/console 2. A steam console should appear now, just paste the following line: download_depot 489830 489833 911281757511576655 3. The v1.5.3 exe will downloaded to [...]steamapps/content/app_489830/depot_489833 4. Just go to where the exe was downloaded and paste the old exe inside your root skyrim folder replacing the "new" one. This WorksI can confirm this works like a charm. wfandrews
I used SKE64 until I ran into some issues and decided to wait for the Beta version to come out So I have been playing the game without SKSE64. After the update came out it actually improved my game. I believe that it is mainly SKSE64 users that had negative consequences from the update. I cannot be sure, of course, unless other people who are not playing with SKSE64 comment. Although I have never used CC or downloaded mods from Bethesda and play the majority of the time offline which may affect my results.

I have since copied the previous SkyrimSE.exe back and re-enabled SSE Fixes. Now the game works fine again.
